Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.— President Donald Trump plans to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday in what would be their second White House sit-down since Trump’s return to office.
The visit, confirmed by a White House official and Netanyahu’s office Saturday, comes as Israel deploys troops in a new security corridor across Gaza to pressure the Hamas militant group. Netanyahu’s defense minister has said Israel will seize large areas of the territory and add them to its so-called security zones.
Last month, Israel shattered the ceasefire with a surprise bombardment in Gaza after trying to pressure Hamas to accept proposed new terms for the ceasefire,

Virginia’s Lt. Governor Winsome Earle-Sears is being congratulated for becoming the only Republican nominee in the governor’s race that will culminate on November 4.
The news comes after former state Sen. Amanda Chase and former Del. Dave LaRock did not make it onto the ballot after they were unable to gather enough signatures, WTOP reported Sunday.
In a social media post Saturday, the Virginia GOP announced Earle-Sears was the nominee and praised her work over the past four years:
As the sole candidate to qualify for the Republican primary ballot on June 17th, Sears will be the Republican Party’s nominee for Governor on the November 4th ballot.

With a president like Donald Trump, who would have thought a vice president could add any more entertainment value or personality to his administration? Yet J.D. Vance is doing that very thing.
Last weekend, Vance made a noteworthy trip to Greenland. He and Trump have been toying with adding the island to the great American melting pot. Yet the portion of the trip that received perhaps the most buzz didn’t come from serious talks of annexation.

Who decides what statutes say in Congress? The obvious answer is that Congress itself decides. But if Senate Republicans are not careful, they will set a new precedent to outsource this power to the Senate parliamentarian and the left-wing bureaucrats at the Government Accountability Office (GAO).
At issue are the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) waivers Joe Biden granted to California under the Clean Air Act. As attorneys Michael Buschbacher and James Conde recently explained, these waivers wreak havoc on the domestic automotive and fossil-fuel industries, limiting consumer choice, hurting workers, and upending the Constitution by forcing 49 states to, in essence, do California’s environmentalist bidding.

Sarah Boardman’s painting of the president had hung in the Denver building for six years before Trump called it “purposefully distorted” and “truly the worst” on his Truth Social platform in January, prompting state lawmakers to yank it off the wall.
Now the artist’s 41-year career “is in danger of not recovering” from the backlash, Boardman said in a statement on her website on Saturday.

*90,000 factories have closed down over the past decades
*6 million factory jobs have disappeared

When Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold announced that she was joining a multi-state lawsuit to block President Trump’s Executive Order (EO) on election integrity, she declared the action a defense of democracy itself. But while Griswold accuses President Trump of federal overreach, her own record suggests a pattern of constitutional violations that have unfolded under the banner of election protection.
In fact, her treatment of Mesa County Clerk Tina Peters has become a case study in why federal oversight of elections—as President Trump’s EO proposes—may be more necessary than ever.

Most of our kids can't read. And it's a big problem.
This year's "Nation's Report Card" showed something alarming: 69% of our 4th graders cannot read proficiently; for 8th graders, that number rises to 70%. That's not just a school problem. It's a future problem—for our kids, economy, and public safety.
National surveys show that parents have been in the dark about this crisis and didn’t know how much they didn’t know.
In Texas, one group is seeing the same issues up close. According to state test scores in Fort Worth, with more than 170,000 students, only 43% are reading at grade level.

Riggs and the Democratic Party declared victory months ago after all the votes counted had her ahead, but Griffin has challenged the validity of certain ballots for various reasons, pursuing a lawsuit that’s prevented the state elections board from certifying Riggs as the winner five months after Election Day.

President Donald Trump is more popular now than before he sent the global markets into a frenzy by enacting sweeping new tariffs.
An exclusive DailyMail.com/J.L. Partners survey of over 1,000 registered voters conducted from March 31 to April 3 found that the Republican remains largely popular in the U.S.
The poll found that Trump's approval rating rose to 53 percent, a 4-point increase over last week when it was 49 percent.
Trump's rising approval rating is surprising given the flak the White House has received over the tariff order signed Wednesday.
It is up by 13 points since March 7 among those aged 18 to 29.

United Kingdom Prime Minister Keir Starmer is set to admit that he understands the rationale behind US President Donald Trump’s tariff push, according to a report.
The center-left Starmer will announce on Sunday that he understands the reason why the economic nationalist framework imposed by the Trump tariffs is popular with voters — while arguing that tariffs are still wrong, The Times reported. (Photo) “Trump has done something that we don’t agree with but there’s a reason why people are behind him on this,” a spokesperson for the Prime Minister said in a statement to the outlet.

Remember during President Trump's speech to the Joint Session of Congress in early March, when Rep. Al Green (D-TX) behaved so badly that House Speaker Mike Johnson had to instruct the Sergeant at ArmsThen, he held court outside the chamber with a gaggle of reporters, who allowed him to spout nonsense about Trump and the Republicans planning to cut Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security.
When one of the journalists asked Rep. Green if that was the only reason he decided to disrupt Pres. Trump's address, the Texas Democrat used it as an excuse to share an astounding non sequitur. to kick Green out of the chamber?

Ford is working closely with the Trump administration to streamline its car production and delivery processes, especially as the company faces challenges with the president’s tariffs. Ford CEO Jim Hackett recently pointed out that while tariffs offer the company a "better chance" at increased manufacturing flexibility, critical details regarding parts supply and production still need to be ironed out. This collaboration between the auto giant and the administration highlights the growing impact of trade policies on the automotive industry and the push to bring more vehicles to American consumers.

As the Gateway Pundit recently reported, an Islamic mega-city that is Sharia Law compliant is being planned near Dallas, Texas.
There are a lot of red flags around the project, so much so that Texas Governor Greg Abbott has been speaking out about it.
Now there is a video of a retired police lieutenant, who is a recognized expert in SWAT activity, speaking out about some of his findings on this. It’s very serious stuff.
Via Twitchy:
In explosive public testimony, Deaton warned Texas officials that this wasn’t some future plan—it’s already happening.

Wall Street’s Trump supporters — and they are legion — were riding high.
They cheered a completely sentient president who took office promising to enact a bold agenda of tax cuts, deregulation and un-woking college campuses, including Ivy League institutions many of them attended.
Then came the trade war. Trump is not only blowing up the markets (aka their livelihoods), they fear, but the economy and probably his presidency along with GOP control of Congress when the midterms come next year.
He could even be paving the way for the word-salad queen, Kamala Harris to re-emerge in 2028.
I’m not saying I subscribe to this doom and gloom.

The two biggest stories of the week, as I see it, are the effects of demanding reciprocity in barriers to trade and the Supreme Court putting the leash on out-of-whack federal district court judges.
It’s my personal belief that the strongest nations have a large, productive middle class. In recent decades, domestic fiscal profligacy and unfair international trade practices have hollowed out countless working-class communities, emptied middle-class pockets, and steadily eroded middle-class lives. Both the Administration’s ordering of reciprocal tariffs and cutting wasteful and corrupt use of tax revenues seem to me an effort to return these people and communities to once-commonplace normal, decent, and dignified living.

The apparent normalization of jihadist-Islamist radicals, such as Hamas and Hezbollah, became frighteningly real when a video revealed that two Muslim immigrant nurses working in a Sydney hospital boasted that one of them had "killed Israeli patients" and the other had sworn to "let them die."
After local Sheikh Wesam Charkawi declared his support for the two nurses, "Pro-Palestinian teachers led dozens of schoolchildren in chants of 'Allahu Akbar' outside a western Sydney public school" in support. Charkawi, who is employed by the New South Wales Department of Education, was "ordered to work from home after defending the two nurses in an Instagram post."

When President Donald Trump slapped a fresh round of tariffs on European and Asian imports, the professional hand-wringers and legacy press clodpolls sprang into choreographed action.
Headlines and television anchors blared warnings of trade wars, economic isolation, and diplomatic fallout. The bureaucratic priesthood that worships at the altar of “free trade” without reciprocity—from Brussels to Brookings—launched into familiar homilies: tariffs are regressive, Trump is reckless, and globalism is gospel.
But let’s pause the hysteria momentarily and apply something vanishingly rare in today’s media-industrial complex: perspective.
The prevailing orthodoxy treats tariffs as anathema to prosperity—an outdated relic of 19th-century mercantilism. But this overlooks a simple truth:

A flood of discounted Chinese imports is set to compound the economic dangers to Europe from Donald Trump’s tariffs, analysts warn, prompting Brussels to prepare measures to protect itself from a wave of cheap goods from Asia.
The direct impact of the US president’s 20 per cent levy on EU products has sparked fears about the outlook for the bloc’s embattled manufacturers, who are already reeling from US levies on cars and steel.
But the severity of Trump’s tariffs on economies such as China and Vietnam means Brussels is now on alert for an influx of Asian products such as electrical goods and machine appliances being diverted into its own markets.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is already collecting over $200 million per day in extra revenue as it enforces a massive new wave of tariffs under President Donald Trump's "Liberation Day" plan. "CBP has successfully implemented 13 tariff-related presidential actions during this Administration," a CBP spokesperson said in a statement to FOX Business. "Serving on America’s frontline, CBP strictly enforces all laws and Presidential directives to secure our economic sovereignty."
Using powers under the Trade Expansion Act of 1962 and the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA), the Trump administration is targeting goods from dozens of countries, including China.

Former President Obama made an appearance at Hamilton College this week and tried to take some cheap shots at the Trump administration.
He was clearly trying to echo the talking points currently being pushed by his party and the media.
For some reason, Obama thinks no one remembers anything about his presidency.
From NBC News: Former President Barack Obama said he is “deeply concerned” with some of the actions that President Donald Trump and his administration have taken and seemed to call out the Republican Party
