President Donald Trump’s agenda could lead to the Supreme Court clarifying U.S. law in major ways as it considers a series of lawsuits brought against his administration. While his success is uncertain, the pending lawsuits have raised questions about the separation of powers and the scope of executive authority over spending, federal employment, immigration, and foreign policy. (snip)More appeals are likely to emerge from the more than 100 lawsuits.(snip)Trump has been critical of the judges who have issued blocks on his actions and said that some should be impeached. That appeared to prompt a rare statement from Chief Justice John Roberts who said impeachment was inappropriate in response to disagreements

Comments:

See article just posted onChief ustice Roberts's too-cozy friendship with Lawfare arcjitect-attorney Norm Eisen, who is eyebrows deep in these lawsuits. Cojnflict, much?

easy fix. SC should just follow the Constitution! All nominees to the court should be Constitutional scholars. i.e. Johnathan Turley. SC Justices can be impeached. I can think of 5 that should never have been approved.

The SCOTUS is doing nothing. They passed on installing a fraudulent president, and will leave these judge challenges to be worked out by the lower courts.

I don't have much confidence in Roberts, but beyond that, while President Trump will not win everything he and his administration are attempting, what is being accomplished is extraordinary and would have been beyond our greatest hopes previously. They are doing a great job.

When Roberts said impeachment was inappropriate in response to disagreements, he is shirking his responsibility to control ALL Judges who act OUTSIDE their Authority and do it ILLEGALLY (Separation of Powers). Congress needs to pass a law that makes it impossible for any judge except SCOTUS to make any decision that is outside their jurisdiction (That District) PERIOD! If they continue make the law say those judges are immediately Terminated from their position!!!!!!!!

New chat logs released by the House Judiciary Committee this week show the extraordinary lengths the FBI went to behind the scenes to shut down any discussion of Hunter Biden’s laptop in October 2020 after the New York Post broke the story. The conversations, withheld by the FBI under Director Chris Wray, show that senior leadership issued an internal “gag order” on the laptop. The FBI had been in possession of the abandoned MacBook Pro for 10 months by that stage, after computer repair shop owner John Paul Mac Isaac handed it over and warned of the potential crimes and national security concerns he had found.

The de minimis loophole comes from back in the 1930s. The idea back then was, say you went on a vacation to Paris, you shouldn’t have to file customs paperwork or pay taxes if you decided to ship some little Eiffel Tower statues to your friends back home. Congress in 2015 then raised the de minimis threshold from $200 to $800. However, the e-commerce world exploded, and Chinese companies began using the de minimis loophole to ship cheap goods (ex. Temu and Shein) into the USA direct to consumers without paying any customs duty.
