President Donald Trump’s deportations may give a 17 percent wage gain to American construction workers, according to the New York Times. The wage gain is predicted by a New York Times article that described how cheap migrant labor helped a builder prepare a $2.65 million home for sale to wealthy Americans. Without immigrant workers, Mr. Anderson’s labor costs could jump by 17 percent, adding $116,000 to his budget, the article lamented: A shock to the labor market by a loss of workers through deportation and the fear of deportation could potentially drive up wages

If someone can afford a $2.65 million dollar house they can afford for it to cost $116,000 more. And the extra cost will benefit LEGAL US citizens in the process. So NYT, cut your whining.

So, looks like Trump was a RINO after all. Just a Democrat hiding under in a red hat. Dems have been screaming all my life about better wages for the little man and fair share for workers and along comes Trump and fulfills the Dems most ambitious dream. Looks like Trump out RINOed McLame, Mittens, Murkowski, Collins, McConnell, Cassidy and so many other Democrat faithful. Wish I had voted for Jeb Bush now. At least he would have kept the status quo and not raised wages for American workers.

It’s a long known fact that illegal aliens can be hired at a lower cost to employers, then if those employers were to hire legal immigrants or US citizens. Who are trying to live within a US standard of living that requires a higher wage than illegal aliens are willing to accept to just survive in the USA.

Barack Obama has called on US citizens, colleges and law firms to resist Donald Trump’s political agenda – and warned Americans to prepare to “possibly sacrifice” in support of democratic values. “It has been easy during most of our lifetimes to say you are a progressive or say you are for social justice or say you’re for free speech and not have to pay a price for it,” Obama said during a speech at Hamilton College in Clinton, New York, on Thursday. The two-term former Democratic president painted a picture of the Trump White House looking to upend the international order created after the second world war

As we previously wrote, during the executive order signing event in the Rose Garden on Wednesday, President Trump announced a swath of reciprocal tariffs on imports from every country, including the People's Republic of China. Then as my colleague Mike Miller wrote on Friday morning, China lashed out with a 34 percent tariff on all U.S. goods entering the Middle Kingdom. Later on Friday morning, Trump shared on his Truth Social account that the administration is extending its reprieve of the U.S. ban on TikTok via a revised executive order, expressing hope of a "deal" being struck for the social media platform with connections to the Chinese

Donald Trump triumphantly celebrated a recent drone strike against Iran-backed Houthi terrorists in Western Yemen. The president posted video of the hit by U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) to his Truth Social page and delighted in the victory. He wrote: 'These Houthis gathered for instructions on an attack. Oops, there will be no attack by these Houthis! They will never sink our ships again!' The video, shot from the sky, shows a group of Houthis - one of several groups backed by the Islamic Republic of Iran - lining up before a gigantic explosion blows them away. Only two trucks can be seen as the smoke from the blast clears, presumably killing everyone down below.

Seoul, South Korea — South Korea’s highest court has removed embattled President Yoon Suk Yeol from office, ending months of uncertainty and legal wrangling after he briefly declared martial law in December and plunged the nation into political turmoil. The court’s decision on Friday marks Yoon’s formal dismissal from the presidency after parliament voted to impeach him late last year. His removal takes effect immediately, meaning he must now leave the presidential residence, and will trigger an election to replace him. It’s a remarkable fall from grace for the former prosecutor-turned-politician, who rose to prominence for his role in the impeachment and imprisonment of another president years

It has taken a long time but some modicum of common sense seems to be making its way back into San Francisco. It started when the city ousted woke DA Chesa Boudin and continued when it elected a slightly more moderate Mayor in Daniel Lurie. Yesterday, Mayor Lurie took a step that is long overdue. He announced the city would end the free distribution of drug paraphernalia for addicts, at least not without some counseling. Mayor Daniel Lurie today announced a major policy shift in San Francisco’s response to the fentanyl crisis, focused on getting people off the streets and quickly into treatment and care. FRANKFURT, Germany U.S. President Donald Trump’s sweeping new tariffs on American imports shocked governments and investors around the world, swiftly spurring both threats of retaliation and calls for negotiation as industries scrambled and global stocks tumbled. China accused the U.S. of “bullying” and the European Union said it was ready to mount “robust” countermeasures, with French officials suggesting taxes to hit U.S. tech giants. Yet others, like the United Kingdom and Japan, expressed hope for a deal with Trump and refrained from talk of retaliation against the world’s biggest economy, fearing that slapping their own tariffs on American goods will only make things worse.

The Trump administration on Wednesday released its long-awaited formula for calculating the new reciprocal tariffs unveiled in the Rose Garden, offering a clearer picture of how the United States intends to address persistent trade imbalances. According to a statement from the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR), the tariffs are calculated using a straightforward formula based on each country’s goods trade surplus with the United States. Specifically, the method divides a country’s trade surplus by its total exports to the U.S., then applies a 50 percent discount to the resulting percentage. For example, China exported $438 billion in goods

LOS ANGELES, California — Consumers in Los Angeles County were shocked Tuesday as a new quarter-percent sales tax, ostensibly to raise funds for services for the homeless, went into effect following a referendum in November. L.A. voters passed Measure A, which replaced and increased an earlier county-wide sales tax for the homeless. That tax, passed a decade ago, failed to stem the growth of the homeless population and may even have encouraged it. As Breitbart News reported in November: The UK Sun noted the effect of the tax on consumers’ pocketbooks: The sales tax went up from 9.5% to 9.75% to increase funding to prevent homelessness.
