Why It Matters When President Donald Trump reentered office last month, one of his first calls to action was to end several of the DEI initiatives in the federal government. He mandated in an executive order that funds could be frozen for companies that do not comply. He also outlawed any messaging that promotes inclusion-based language. The orders have caused PBS to close its DEI office, while major companies like Amazon, Target and Google

First they tell you buying stuff is going to destroy the planet, then they say you will be sorry they stopped buying stuff for a day. Sorry, the tofu and kale supply will survive.

If any companies participate in favor of DIE, we'll know who to strike off our lists . . . but we likely know that already!

Wouldn't it be just amazing if the majority of Americans who support the DOGE and anti-DEI initiatives spent a shi*load of money that day. I might buy a car. House. Tons of other stuff!
Make this blow up in their faces! What a stupid idea

All that commies swearing off using or buying things for a day does is shift their purchases by a couple of days at most. This stunt doesn’t call on consumers to make a sacrifice by actually giving up something, so the threat it poses is a hollow one.
Not buying things on a designated day might make people feel better by providing them a chance to vent their anger at “the man”, but the action isn’t going to have any real impact on anything.
If they really want to send a “message” they should try not buying anything for several months in a row. See how dedicated they are to the cause then.
The effect of a few thousand disaffected losers not buying anything for a day will make absolutely no difference to the economy or the government.

These dumb idiots don't realize how they are hurting the people they're claiming to help. Hypocrats! We could all support their boycott by shopping at these locations except we won't buy anything by the DEI crowd. How dumb are they?

If I were a targeted business, I would put all my products on sale that day.

Twenty or so years ago there was a closure of businesses in support of illegal aliens. One of the Mexican restaurants my wife and I really liked closed for that day. We have never been back and never will return unless the place comes under new ownership.
Fool around and find out applies here, too.
