Two members of the House of Representatives Ways and Means Committee decided to create more political theater over the Elon Musk/DOGE audit of the Department of the Treasury payments by crashing a private meeting between House Speaker Mike Johnson, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, and Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee Jason Smith (R-MO).
Three guesses which party?
You do the math.
A pair of House Democrats barged into House Speaker Mike Johnson’s office at the Capitol on Wednesday demanding answers on why Elon Musk’s government efficiency team has access to taxpayers’ data.
Reps. Judy Chu of California and Gwen Moore of Wisconsin barreled into the speaker’s office

Wouldn't there be some kind of reprimand for that kind of behavior?

EDS i assume is Elon Derangement Syndrome, as well as the medical meaning. These lunatics have both.
Explain to me how this is not the delay of an official proceeding as alleged of jan 6 …

In a perfect world we are now watching the opening salvos that will result in the complete destruction of the democrat party. I hope I don't run out of popcorn.

Democrats act as if Musk and his team are rummaging through all individual taxpayer information and tax returns. That is just typical Democrat hysteria and fear mongering. What they are doing is looking at government expenditures. Money going out and why it it is being spent. It is very simple. Democrats are acting like spoiled rich children who just had their allowance taken away and can't spend it on whatever lavish, wasteful, and foolish things they want.

I think "thou protest too much!" The dems opposing all the auditing would make one believe that they are aware of a lot of shenanigans and deception in the Treasury Dept. The dems were all for 84000 new IRS hires to audit taxpayers. Why. Was it to keep taxpayers honest ? Well one would have to think the dems would want the audit of the Treasury, to keep it honest. something is just not adding up right!

Honestly, though...
The only reason they have assassinated Trump is they couldn't escape responsibility and would be taken down physically.
God preserve Trump.

Why would Musk need taxpayer information to reduce government spending. It's not the taxpayers spending money like drunken sailors that has caused a 36 trillion dollar deficit.

Democrats are acting like 2 year olds who candy has been taken away. Most Unprofessional. Why were they not arrested by the Capitol police for disruption? How is this different from Bowman's pulling of fire alarm?

because minority women can't be criticized without dim screams of racism and misogyny which keep their base inflamed.
There are around 3 million federal employees; currently only 537 are "elected".
There are untold numbers of unelected federal, state and local government employees who have access to citizen's personal information.
Also employees in the fields of medicine, banking, utilities, etc.

They couldn't care less about DOGE or anyone else looking at the W-2 that belong to me and you. Their concern is that the disgust and anger of taxpayers will snowball when accessing W-2 records of government employees shows how many of our "full-time" work from home government employees are working other "full-time" jobs as well. This will cause support for DOGE to build among us serfs and who knows where this rabbit hole is going to lead. I suspect we will start seeing the names of Congressman and Senators of boths sides springing up. This could lead to the biggest incumbent purge in history ... if we are lucky....

As they forced their way into his office, Johnson should have shot them and claimed that he felt his life was in danger.
