Rep. Eli Crane (R-AZ) suggested the House Oversight Committee consider bringing in therapy dogs to help Democrats cope during a hearing on Wednesday. And wouldn't you know it? Thursday's hearing featured some adorable pups. Not strictly for the reasons one might think. Mr. Crane, during a hearing on 'Rightsizing Government,' noticed that his Democrat colleagues had become a little verklempt over the idea that Elon Musk and his Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) team have been making efforts to slash government waste and fraud. In fact, earlier in the hearing, the resistance party tried to catch GOP lawmakers off guard by calling for a vote to subpoena Musk.

Like Toto pulling the curtain on the Wizard of Oz, they’ve pulled back the cover on government secrecy. They've shown how oceans of tax revenue have flowed through Non-Government Organizations (NGOs), charitable-sounding foundations, the UN, and others to fund terrorists, disrupters like BLM, and reporters to promote Democrats and censor the opposition, most often to enrich Democrat politicians and their friends, families, and allies. The news you thought was news wasn’t independently and honestly generated. The charities you thought were genuine, weren’t. It’s one big gaslighting grift and you paid for it.
The left is screaming that all these are acts of vengeance. But that is not what is happening at all. Donald Trump is restoring some health and sanity to the American government, and every American owes him a debt of gratitude.
Though few noticed or realized the full implications of what was happening, the nation has passed through an extremely dangerous period. When Old Joe Biden and his henchmen decided to wage lawfare against Trump, they corrupted the justice system and endangered the very idea of a loyal opposition that the majority allowed to operate freely in an atmosphere of mutual respect.

Born in 1918, Spiro Agnew was the first-generation progeny of Greek immigrants in Baltimore. Agnew served in WWII, and won a Bronze Star for his service. After the war Spiro obtained a law degree, and dabbled in politics after being head of a PTA.
Before you knew it Spiro was Baltimore County Executive in 1962–1966 as a Republican, a rare occurrence in solidly Democrat territory. As County Executive, Agnew projected moderation: new schools, improvements to water and sewer, and the passage of an anti-discrimination bill.
In 1966, Agnew received the Republican nomination for Maryland governor.
By contrast, the Democratic race for the Democratic nominee in 1966 was a mess.

In a tit-for-tat move, President Donald Trump revoked former President Joe Biden's security clearance. Trump announced his plans to do so on Truth Social, saying "we are immediately revoking Joe Biden’s Security Clearances, and stopping his daily Intelligence Briefings."

Former presidents typically retain their security clearance as those in the very small club of past presidents have a unique perspective on domestic and global matters as well as on the rarified position that they each have held. The Trump administration is considering three potential areas for the absorption of refugee Gazans after President Donald Trump announced that the US plans to take over the Gaza Strip and relocate those currently there to rebuild the area, N12 reported on Wednesday.
According to the report, the areas being considered are Morocco, Puntland, and Somaliland.
The report noted that what these three countries share in common is a strong need for US support, as Somaliland and Puntland seek international recognition, and Morocco has an ongoing territorial dispute over Western Sahara.
Somaliland has been looking for recognition as an independent country.

A federal judge has blocked Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency (Doge) from accessing the personal financial data of millions of Americans in Treasury Department records, according to court documents.
US District Judge Paul A. Engelmayer issued a preliminary injunction on Saturday to prohibit access, ordering Musk and his team to immediately destroy any copies of records.
The move comes after 19 state attorneys general sued the Trump administration after Doge, a cost-cutting initiative led by Musk, was given access to the records.
They argued access for Musk, a "special government employee", and Doge, which is not an official government department, violated federal law.
