Former Vice President Mike Pence revealed that he congratulated President-elect Donald Trump on his win in the presidential election during former President James Earl “Jimmy” Carter Jr.’s funeral. In an interview with Christianity Today, Pence revealed that Trump “greeted” Pence as he was coming down the aisle, and Pence congratulated him on his win against Vice President Kamala Harris in the November presidential election. Carter passed away at the age of 100 at the end of December. “He greeted me when he came down the aisle,” Pence told the outlet. “I stood up, extended my hand. He shook my hand. I said, ‘Congratulations, Mr. President,’ and he said, ‘Thanks, Mike.'”

Pence is like our Chief Justice with a narrow view of duties and somewhat lacking the requisite courage to boldly take on a difficult task. Had our former VP done the right thing 4 years ago we might be seeing him taking the oath on January 20. Instead - one and done.

From my perspective, that's self congratulatory, and questionable. If it was sincere, he would have congratulated Trump, then left it to DJT to reveal it to the world. The latter would be the Don saying, "Hey, we made up. We're square now.". The former is more, "There, I did it. Satisfied?"

Pence will continue to spout lies about what PDJT wanted him to do - his duty. The operative word is "pause". Pence did not understand the full range of his Constitutional responsibilities, Or...? Around the same time, Trump attorney John Lauro said that Trump wanted Pence to pause the certification to allow the legal process to catch up to resolve the dispute over the election, which Trump maintains to this day he won and was cheated out victory. Trump and several of his lawyers have argued that Pence had the authority to reject electoral votes from states where there were claims of widespread election fraud under the 12th Amendment and Electoral Count Act of 1887. “In my opinion, Mike Pence had the absolute right to send the votes back to the Legislatures,” Trump said in an interview with Tucker Carlson in August 2023. Trump contended that any other interpretation of vice presidential power would make him little more than a “human conveyor belt,” adding that in his view, Pence got “very bad advice” from lawyers about his role in the certification process. https://www.theepochtimes.com/us/pence-says-he-congratulated-trump-on-election-win-during-carter-funeral-5790268?

AUSTIN – Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has directed that American flags on state property be flown at full staff to mark President-elect Donald Trump's inauguration next week, bypassing the national mourning period for former President Jimmy Carter. The move has sparked both praise and criticism on social media. On Dec. 29, President Biden ordered flags across the country to fly at half-staff for 30 days following Carter's death. On Monday, Gov. Abbott released a statement that he would be directing flags on state property to be flown at full staff on Jan. 20, Inauguration Day. "While we honor the service of a former President, we must also celebrate the service

California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) has signed an executive order to suspend regulations that would impede the rebuilding process following the destructive wildfires. The three-page executive order signed by the governor this week would aim to streamline the building permit process as well as rollback environmental regulations that would subject rebuilding to layers of time-consuming bureaucracy. The order covers all of Los Angeles and Ventura Counties, both of which were affected by the wildfires, which have been estimated to be the costliest in California history.

The insurance industry in California was already reeling from a combination of natural disasters and the political disaster known as the Democratic Party in California. And someone did. The sheer idiocy of California Democratic Party officials preferring to embrace environmental posturing

As RedState reported on Saturday, California Gov. Gavin Newsom made the ill-advised move to go on "Pod Save America," a far-left show run by former Barack Obama staffers, while large parts of Los Angeles County still burned. His attempt to pass the buck and paint himself as an innocent bystander amid a laundry list of government failures was bad enough, but then came the plea for donations.
