On Monday, during his hosting duties on CNN’s “Newsroom,” Jim Acosta called on media outlets to “stand firm” against President-elect Donald Trump’s efforts to use the legal system to hold the press accountable.
Acosta told CNN contributor Brian Stelter the media should not have to worry “about this sort of stuff.” “I just wonder, Brian, what this is going to mean for news organizations, for tech companies?” Acosta said. “We’re going to talk about the implications for tech companies in a moment, but it seems to me that there’s a lot of this bending the knee going on. And I’m sure the folks over at ABC

Yeah, you idiot, "stand firm" and have a court award $25 million damages, instead of the $15 million settlement. Of course, dimwit legal advisor here wouldn't be paying any of the judgement with his own money, so easy to throw around brainless rhetoric.

FTA: “stand firm” against President-elect Donald Trump’s efforts to use the legal system to hold the press accountable.
Yeah, god forbid the press should have to be accountable. They can lie, demean, tarnish, taint and absolutely ruin a person with delusional propaganda, but don’t ever tell them to be honest.

According to Acosta the networks should be able to lie with no consequences. CNN cannot commit suicide fast enough.

I get great amusement watching the corrupt media talking heads calling on themselves to keep doing the same old thing that has resulted in their drastic reduction in ratings. Keep it up! Pretty soon you'll put yourselves and your vicious lying networks out of business. Can't happen soon enough to suit me.

I often wonder how anyone can reach middle age and still have a liberal/socialist mindset. It must take an awful lot of lying to oneself and very little intelligence to continue with this type of thinking.

That's right all you leftist journalists. Remember your job is not to report news, your job is to destroy Trump by any means. Stand firm!

Kinda funny how idiots like Acosta don't seem to understand that statements like he and others are making are admitting that the media is corrupt, biased and totally unethical. But then they really aren't very smart.

I am surprised that Mr. Acosta's school didn't have a course in basic Law. He sounds that he is glad other people are being sued and not himself.

When will CNN start trimming staff & salaries? What's the over/under? People like Acosta, Anderson Cooper, Dana Bash, Wolf Blitzer, et.al have no business in journalism. They belong on the pages of the National Enquirer, reporting on two headed snakes and such.

So he probably still believes the Steele Dossier is true and accurate, or any one of the other stories they pushed that weren't true.
I'll bet he was one of the reporters who were pushed information from The Democracy Integrity Project which was exposed by Paul Sperry at RealClearInvestigations back on March 22, 2019 under the title Dossier-Tied Firm Pitches Reporters Daily on 'Collusion'.
The group was spearheaded by Daniel J. Jones, former staffer to Sen. Diane Feinstein and Clinton volunteer. They had major funding from Rob Reiner and George Soros.
Their group essentially pushed information to keep the story going and investigations humming. It wasted Congressional staff time and expense.
