ABC News anchor George Stephanopoulos is said to be 'apoplectic' and 'humiliated' following the network's decision to pay $16 million to settle a defamation lawsuit between ABC and Donald Trump. The settlement, which includes $15 million towards a presidential foundation and $1 million for Trump's legal fees, has sparked a firestorm within the Disney-owned news organization. Stephanopoulos, a former aide to Bill Clinton in the 1990s, was particularly incensed at being compelled to issue a public apology, according to the New York Post. Insiders explained how the veteran anchor remains 'defiant' amid the fallout.

The pygmy rattlesnake Stephanopoulos should also issue apologies to Paula Jones, Kathleen Willey, Gennifer Flowers, Juanita Broaddrick, Monica Lewinsky and all the other women he slandered as “bimbo eruptions”.

Poor Georgy. He's fortunate that Disney had common sense. If the suit had gone ahead he would have had to pay more. The millions of $$$ didn't come out of his pocket but Disney's. He hasn't learned a lesson. He's still a POS.

ABC could have saved a lot of money by just firing Stephanopoulos. Apparently they are glutens for punishment.

Have to believe that there is a rift between George and his bosses. First, he gets his hand slapped for saying that Biden was not up for re-election. Now he cost them big bucks, but more importantly, an apology to Trump. George's ego may force him to quit, or ABC may just rid themselves of this growing nuisance.

Georgie lied, slandered and smeared and Georgie got caught and called out for it. What is there to be defiant about? What's another slap in the face to Disney, people still get suckered in to their theme parks and cruises and pay ten times the value.

Well, gee golly, it seems like the media, specifically ABC, are NOT above the law. Of course that's a huge shock to the arrogant Leftists in the media who believed that they could say whatever they want about political figures. But their arrogance lead to escalation in their behavior that finally tripped a response and a reasonable result. You can't defame, slander, or libel someone. Beyond that, there are likely discussions that went on at ABC and Disney that would be embarrassing if they were revealed. Also, 15 million in settlements might be cheap compared to mounting legal costs and damage to their reputation, something already reeling from wokeness and their TDS stance in the election. Of course that leaves Georgie twisting in the wind as the poster boy for "Don't do this" behavior. Not too much sympathy for him though. He eagerly took on the slander as was evident in the segment. He was going to "Get Trump" good. Now he has gotten a dope slap in return. He richly deserved it.

I'm getting so sick of this. What good are apologies if the Apologizer gets to be "furious" and "defiant" and claims to be THE REAL VICTIM because he felt "cornered and blindsided?" Maybe we should have a National Day of Apology when we all can apologize for everything. Pick one date and time for all of us and then just say you're sorry to whomever's around you so we can get on with life. Then pay up and try not to lie until next year. Or something. /s

Robert Purtiman, a spokesman for Wright Patterson, confirmed to WCPO Channel 9 that the drones first were spotted near the air base late Friday night. The incident comes as concerns build over repeated sightings of drones in New Jersey and New York. “To date, installation leadership has determined none of the incursions impacted base residents, facilities or assets,” Purtiman tells WHIO Channel 7. Airspace around the military base base blocked for about four hours because of the drone sightings, WHIO reports.

The First Lady greeted children at the White House on Friday to mark the festive season at the Marine Corps' 'Toys for Tots' event, welcoming military families: 'Hello! How are you? Happy Holidays!' 'Happy Christmas!' a young boy shot back. Jill grinned at the riposte, correcting herself: 'Happy Christmas, yes.' The interaction recalls a culture wars clash that seemingly sparked up during the Obama Administration, as conservatives accuse liberals of watering down the Christian holiday.
