President Donald Trump’s mass repatriation of illegal migrants could lower the price of chicken dinners and also raise family wages, according to AviNews.com, a poultry industry news site.
“The poultry industry heavily relies on immigrant labor. Many of these workers are undocumented, and their roles are crucial in processing plants and farms, the article noted on December 11, adding: The loss of this labor force could force companies to increase wages to attract [American] domestic workers.
Moreover, the return of many illegal migrants to their home countries would also reduce consumer consumption of chicken products, the site noted:

FTA: "Immigrants are not only a vital part of the workforce but also a significant portion of the consumer base. A reduction in the immigrant population due to deportations would decrease the number of consumers purchasing poultry products. This reduction in demand could lead to an oversupply of poultry meat, driving down prices [emphasis added] and potentially leading to financial losses for producers."
Finally, someone who can analyze both sides of the equation. Like tariffs: we won't be funding the Chinese military if we reduce our trade deficit with China, so we can reduce our military budget, thus even if tariffs do increase prices they also decrease costs. There are multiple factors at work in every economic decision.
I do wonder if the surge of illegals is responsible for a lot of profits to a lot of companies, as referred to at the end of the quote. Since these people are often subsidized by the federal government it amounts to printing money, in that federal payments go almost directly to the "economy." In other words, subsidized wages for the workers, a bigger welfare system as to the nonworkers. I think everyone will know that the welfare system is great for many industries.

Several key points in this article. Comes down to these illegal immigrants were, as we suspected, cheap, compliant labor that kept the profit margin up for these companies. There's nothing moral or Christian about that abuse of people.

A number of smaller cities in central Kansas are heavily involved in meat packing, and have huge illegal populations. Sending them home will be a boon for Americans seeking jobs, BUT these meat packing houses were specifically located FAR from any significant American labor force. The INTENT of siting these meat packing houses out in the middle of the country where there were no one to work there was to attract illegal aliens to work there, and in sparsely populated counties where money spread around to bribe the local government would keep things quiet.
It will not be easy to find American workers in many of these locations. They are very low population places, and how many Americans will move to Garden City, Kansas to work in a meat packing factory? A normal employer sites his factory NEAR a source of labor, these meat packers did just the opposite - intentionally. They never wanted Americans working for them.

#3 I have a different take on this. There are a few factories or food producing plants in the middle of Kansas. I am very familiar with this. The problem is that with the illegals taking those jobs, the youth in those towns have to leave and go somewhere else after high school or college in order to get a job. If they were to hire American citizens only, the new generation will stay there.

Re #4, the population of Garden City, KS is 55% Hispanic. In 1970s the population was about 18,000, now about 28,000. Tyson opened the beef packing plant, employing somewhere around 3,000 illegals, in 1980. So, they hire in 3,000 illegals and perhaps 5-10% local workers, too, and the city population increases by 10,000. Each illegal brings a wife and one child, it would seem.
My bet is that Tyson will close the plant if there is much pressure on the illegal alien workforce, rather than even attempt to find American workers. This is the standard business model of these meat packers. They WANT illegals because they can get them to work cheap, so the locate the plants far from any American work force.

For those meat packing and other employers, the Biden-Harris “open borders” scheme is all about them being able to unlawfully hire very compliant and very low wage foreign (illegal alien) workers in unlimited numbers. In return those employers support and give big political contributions to Biden and Harris and the leftist and progressive Democrats. To those entities, employers and politicians, it’s all about money, and the immigration laws that were passed constitutionally by the US Congress be dammed!

In my work I encounter thousands of migrants at food processing plants in the Upper Midwest. Their lack of education and their lack of English (and even Spanish) makes them minimally productive. But employers think it's cheaper than automating.

Get rid of social programs that allow able bodied people not to work.
They will flock (pun intended) to these jobs to survive.
