The winners of this year’s Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation & Institute “Peace Through Strength Award” are none other than Biden administration Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY).
Austin, who has been criticized for implementing “woke” military policies as the Department of Defense (DOD) leader, and McConnell, who just went through yet another major health scare while on the job at the Capitol, were recognized for their “extraordinary contributions to the state of our national defense” in a press release from the Reagan institute.

Ridiculous.
Whoever has ascended to the power to hand out these Reagan awards has beclowned themselves with this, as much as when the Nobel people gave the peace Prize to Yassir Arafat, and later Barack 0bama.
Ronnie must be spinning in his grave.

McConnell blocking Garland was a fantastic thing, regardless of all the other bad things that Mitch has done. He will get everlasting credit for doing that one, magnificent, and difficult move, blocking a truly evil man from the Supreme Court.
As to Austin, I know of nothing creditable that the man has ever done. Perhaps there was one shining moment among all that manure pile.

What peace? The peace in the war in Ukraine which fomented by our “regime change” policies? The peace in Syria? Iraq?

The “Peace Through Strength Award” has come to mean the exact opposite of its original meaning. It now is "War Through Weakness Award." It is another award for not doing what you get paid for and not doing what you swore an oath to do. The awarders and recipients should be ashamed. Shame is not an emotion that is felt in Washington DC.

This action just reinforces the wisdom of John M. Olin who watched how the foundations of great capitalists (Carnegie, Rockefeller, Ford, etc) strayed from their beginnings and became leftist over time. As a result, he put a sunset clause in his foundation, stipulating that it was to distribute all assets (over $350 million) within 25 years. It provided seed money to many conservative organizations, conservative think tanks, media outlets, and law programs. Two well known recipients were the the Federalist Society, and Heather MacDonald of the Manhattan institute. We owe Olin a debt of gratitude.

Agree with the above posters.
Leftists have wormed their way into, taken over, perverted and destroyed another once decent American institution.
