President-elect Donald Trump is already flexing raw power, showing he may try to subvert Washington’s checks and balances and leaving foreign leaders scrambling to come to terms with his victory. Early signs from Mar-a-Lago, the Florida club and estate where Trump is building his new administration, suggest that when he moves back into the White House in January, bolstered by a thumping win and a democratic mandate, he will act with maximum force. Trump has already taken to social media to issue orders to Senate Republicans running in this week’s majority leader election to endorse recess appointments for his Cabinet nominees — and all three candidates quickly signaled

Now all of a sudden they're screaming he should NOT retaliate! Why not! He deserves to take them down! He deserves to make them lose every cent they own defending what they did! I might be just an average citizen of the USA, but I do have a master's degree and as such, I learned to read and think critically, (back when it was an essential thing to do in higher education.) While reading this article, I read between the lines that propaganda is still oozing forth from the liberal media. Using hyperbole such as “wielding power,” “massive disruption,” “his selection(s) is likely to bolster concerns of Trump’s opponents about the former president’s hardline intentions,” and “exacting revenge,” one can read the method the media will use to question president-elect Trump’s motives. I detect that every move he makes will be scrutinized by the media as “tyrannical.” Well, so be it! I voted to give him room to be the commander-in-chief!

"dominance of the ultra-conservative majority" Only ultra conservative when measured against the insanely Left dems. Most rational people would think most of Trump's positions are middle of the road. Of course, since Trump is Hitler, all bets are off. "his thirst for retribution" Oh, you mean holding hard Leftist lawfare practitioners accountable for their illegal actions that NO ONE would previously consider against a President. "Trump is promising to return to the volatile foreign policy " Oh, you mean the one that yielded peace with the bad actors on the run until Bidet gave away the store? "I have no intention of leaving Europe as a stage inhabited by herbivores, only for carnivores to come and devour (us) according to their agenda," Perfect! Europeans are cows and Trump is a wolf. LA Times owner to overhaul ‘very left’

The billionaire owner of the Los Angeles Times gave a bizarre defense for his plans to overhaul the “very left” editorial board after he blocked it from endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris. Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong said Harris’ support for Israel’s military actions in Gaza was one of the main reasons he refused to endorse the Democrat and said he wants to hire more conservative voices — an odd view considering that the majority of conservatives back the Jewish state’s war against Hamas terrorists. Nevertheless, Soon-Shiong insisted he was seeking a better “balance” after vowing to replace the remaining members of the editorial board who did not quit

When doing a rundown of what his model did and did not show in the weeks before the election, Nate Silver made an observation that deserves to be noticed. In a piece about the virtues and vices of his model--it didn't PREDICT the outcome, but the most frequent outcome it spit out turned out to be the final result--Silver inserted what he called a "mini-rant" about the reaction he got from Democrats and Republicans to his ongoing analyses. It struck him that Republicans and Democrats took a very different approach to reading and reacting to his newsletters: Even though our forecast was near 50/50 for almost the whole race,

Republicans have secured a majority in the US House of Representatives, extending their hold on the lower chamber and delivering a governing trifecta in Washington that could give Donald Trump sweeping power to enact his legislative agenda. The Associated Press determined on Wednesday evening that Republicans had won at least 218 seats in the 435-member House after a victory in Arizona, a call that came more than a week after polls closed across the US. The call ensures Republicans will continue to have a large say in key matters such as government funding, debt ceiling negotiations and foreign aid, and it spells an end to Democrats’ hopes that the lower chamber

The vote was unanimous, two sources in the room told Fox News Digital, despite conservatives threatening to protest Johnson getting full support. The internal election was delayed by roughly an hour and a half as Johnson met with his GOP critics to "hash it out," two other sources told Fox News. It comes after President-elect Trump addressed House Republicans earlier in the day and said he was "100%" behind Johnson, multiple sources in the room told Fox News Digital.

A Dutch court on Tuesday dismissed a landmark climate ruling against Shell, after the oil giant was ordered to drastically reduce its global carbon emissions back in 2021. The outcome, which comes during the opening days of the COP29 climate summit in Azerbaijan, marks the latest twist in a precedent-setting case that could have far-reaching implications for the future of climate litigation. The appeals court in The Hague said that while Shell is required to reduce its carbon emissions, it could not determine the extent of these cuts. The case against Shell, therefore, was dismissed entirely.

One of the biggest winners of the 2024 election was Scott Jennings. The folksy columnist and former George W.
