Here's What Liz Cheney Had to Say After
Trump's Landslide Win

Original Article

Posted By: JoElla Bee, 11/6/2024 10:29:11 AM

Former GOP Rep. Liz Cheney issued a statement Wednesday morning commenting on Tuesday's election results, giving Donald Trump a landslide win.[snip]“All Americans are bound, whether we like the outcome or not, to accept the results of our elections,”[snip]“We now have a special responsibility, as citizens of the greatest nation on earth, to do everything we can to support and defend our Constitution, preserve the rule of law, and ensure that our institutions hold over these coming four years. Citizens across this country, our courts, members of the press and those serving in our federal, state and local governments must now be the guardrails of democracy."

Comments:

I disagree with Joe Concha that this was a call for unity of the nation. It sounded, to me, more like a call to unity of all forces opposing Trump to do everything they can to thwart his efforts and continue strongly in theirs, as “ guardrails of democracy”.

Liz Cheney: "We now have a special responsibility, as citizens of the greatest nation on earth, to do everything we can to support and defend our Constitution, preserve the rule of law". Liz Cheney, queen of the Jan. 6th tribunals now wants to follow the rule of law after railroading scores of American citizens for the crime of showing up at the capitol to protest. What a hypocrite this dirtbag is.

And, our official form of government is a constitutional (representative) republic, not a democracy. Each state is also a constitutional republic. We use democratic means to elect our federal, state and local representatives. However, they are to govern according to the covenant established with the people, a federal or state Constitution. Our founding father James Madison had a good bit to say about democracies in the Federalist Papers (#10 and I think 55), none of it good. I think we need to become reacquainted with our history and our Constitution to know more than just the First and Second Amendments. :-)

Hello, may I speak with Liz Cheney? Hi Liz, I'm from the government and I'm here to help. Which agency you ask? Today, the irs we need money to fund the government, tomorrow the sec to check your family's inside trades, next week the fec - just checking for illegal donation bundling, and after that the fbi, cia, doj and any other 3 letter make work agencies you can name. We will be visiting Nancy and Chuck, Schiff and Joe, Raskin and Hunter/Jill/James Biden. So please get comfortable and call as many lawyers that will bleed you dry, or just as many as you can afford on the millions you made on your prior government salary. We just love our jobs!

"members of the press and those serving in our federal, state and local governments must now be the guardrails of democracy." Really Liz? The (legacy) media did nothing but lie, exaggerate and impugn Trump's character, etc. for 8 years now. So much for being neutral observers. As for local, state and federal governments - you mean the Deep State of unelected bureaucrats who tried to remove his name from the ballot in several states, spun up garbage charges of RICO violations, etc to either bankrupt him or put him in prison - not so much guardrails as obstacles to the Constitutional process.

As Jan. 6 defendants anticipate pardons from President-elect Donald Trump, there are indications that the FBI is winding down any further investigations of the attack on the Capitol in 2021.  According to sources at the FBI, Jan. 6 cases still being investigated “are dead.” “They’re not going anywhere. They’re dead. They’re going to be closed, because they still have some in the pipeline,” an FBI source said. “Basically, right now, everyone [is asking], ’Why the hell are you prosecuting?” another Bureau source said. “They’re all going to be pardoned anyway, so it’s an informal shutdown.”
