SWANNANOA, North Carolina — Hundreds of special operations personnel in North Carolina have formed their own homegrown rescue and supply operation in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene after they grew tired of waiting for the federal government to get its act together. The Post found an all-volunteer operation being run out of a Harley-Davidson dealership with ruthless efficiency and military precision. “Who’s FEMA?” ex-Green Beret Adam Smith derisively responded when asked about the agency’s presence on the ground since the deadly storm ravaged the rural western part of the state.(Photo) “This disaster has definitively proven without a shadow of a doubt FEMA’s incompetence and incapability,” he said, noting that the agency

FEMA is disinterested in helping Americans. They spend billions on handouts to ILLEGALS, but withhold relief from Americans suffering a REAL disaster.

Unfunded volunteer groups like the Redneck Air Force and Cajun Navy can successfully get into storm ravaged areas to rescue and help save people. Why can't a well funded FEMA and other federal agencies do the same?

Is FEMA rightly called FEMAle? I see that Biden appointed a woman to head Fema in 2021. And at least two representatives of FEMA were women. Is that why the response has been so poor? Is it staffed with DEI hires to achieve equity? The Keystone Kops could do a better job than FEMA.

The visit to the area by Biden and Harris seems to have been strictly for photo ops. It is shameful that they shut down operations in the area. There have been several reports of Feds threatening to arrest locals if the they didn’t stop providing help to the victims of this disaster. Yet the Feds have failed to provide much needed help.

Part of the problem with FEMA is that they have disaster managers but not many employees who actually get their hands dirty to respond to a disaster. And when they do scrounge up enough volunteer employees they have to be housed in appropriate residences like hotels. No tents for them.

Trump took to Truth Social Wednesday to complain about the interview, part of a media blitz Harris participated in this week after being camera-shy for the first few months of her campaign. During Stern and Harris' back-and-forth, Stern recalled his own falling out with the Republican nominee, which Trump referenced in his Truth Social post.

Former President Donald Trump on Thursday published a video message to the people of Florida in the wake of Hurricane Milton, which made landfall in the state less than two weeks after Florida endured Hurricane Helene. The hurricane, once as strong as a Category 5, hit the central west coast of Florida on Wednesday evening, bringing with it powerful winds and torrential rain and spawning more than 150 tornados. “Melania and I are praying for you as you face the aftermath of Hurricane Milton,” Trump said in the video message. “We are deeply saddened by the devastation being reported.”

Kamala Harris is desperately clinging to any opportunity to regain her political footing after a string of underwhelming performances. CNN’s offer to host a second presidential debate on October 23 in Atlanta seemed like a lifeline for Harris, who quickly accepted the invitation, confident that the far-left network will shield her from tough scrutiny. “CNN sent invitations on September 21 to both Vice President Harris and former President Trump’s campaigns to participate in a CNN debate this fall as we believe the American people would benefit from a second debate between the two candidates for President of the United States,” the far-left network said in a statement.

(Photo) Group leaders said the NYPD’s 100th and 115th precincts are “overwhelmed and understaffed” and the area has been taken over by organized crime — drug rings, human trafficking, pimps, prostitutes and shoplifting rings.
