SWANNANOA, North Carolina — Hundreds of special operations personnel in North Carolina have formed their own homegrown rescue and supply operation in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene after they grew tired of waiting for the federal government to get its act together.
The Post found an all-volunteer operation being run out of a Harley-Davidson dealership with ruthless efficiency and military precision.
“Who’s FEMA?” ex-Green Beret Adam Smith derisively responded when asked about the agency’s presence on the ground since the deadly storm ravaged the rural western part of the state.(Photo) “This disaster has definitively proven without a shadow of a doubt FEMA’s incompetence and incapability,” he said, noting that the agency

I want to send money to help the "Redneck Air Force" in NC, but what is their GoFund title?
Will never give to The Red Cross for the victims never get what they need, plus, I heard that they have to pay the Red Cross back.

FEMA is disinterested in helping Americans. They spend billions on handouts to ILLEGALS, but withhold relief from Americans suffering a REAL disaster.

I'm proud of my brothers & sisters who are getting it done. I hope Trump looks at the way they're doing this, give FEMA an enema, flushing out diversity hires and soy boys, and getting real operators in there.

Yesterday I saw a video of people from the Cajun Navy using mules to bring supplies into the mountains. Bless them.

Unfunded volunteer groups like the Redneck Air Force and Cajun Navy can successfully get into storm ravaged areas to rescue and help save people. Why can't a well funded FEMA and other federal agencies do the same?

I noticed at the of this article "SWANNANOA, North Carolina".
That is the small town where my friends from Tulsa went with their SBC Disaster Relief team.
I hope they get to feed these guys!

Is FEMA rightly called FEMAle? I see that Biden appointed a woman to head Fema in 2021. And at least two representatives of FEMA were women. Is that why the response has been so poor? Is it staffed with DEI hires to achieve equity? The Keystone Kops could do a better job than FEMA.

There's a pattern forming here, disaster relief, schooling, public safety, more and more people are taking our needs into our own hands to do the job we already paid government to do.

The visit to the area by Biden and Harris seems to have been strictly for photo ops. It is shameful that they shut down operations in the area. There have been several reports of Feds threatening to arrest locals if the they didn’t stop providing help to the victims of this disaster. Yet the Feds have failed to provide much needed help.

WE Americans are a "do it" country...WE don't need the government to help US out...WE have our neighbors...it's been an eye opener to see what washington can't...do...for whatever reason...DEI hires in charge or political games...I really don't care at this point...the people have had enough and are rallying to the cause...and I agree abut the Red Cross...they've been crooked for years...and I don't recall the Red Cross checking on the hostages that hamas grabbed...

Part of the problem with FEMA is that they have disaster managers but not many employees who actually get their hands dirty to respond to a disaster. And when they do scrounge up enough volunteer employees they have to be housed in appropriate residences like hotels. No tents for them.

These guys are so awesome, and reviled by Biden and Kamala and their ilk, who want everyone to be completely helpless, with no initiative, and dependent upon their worthless government. Bless our vets!

The sad Truth is that FEMA is slow or not helping the victims because they will be voting for President Trump! So the Biden Admin. is reluctant to give aid and comfort to these people. This is criminal and evil! We are donating money through a local charity.

I propose that any non-performing government agency be defunded and abolished. And that all the budget for tat agency be subtracted from the government budget, permanently.
