Defense Secretary Lloyd J. Austin III has ordered the Department of Defense to review the Medal of Honor awarded to 20 soldiers for their actions in the Wounded Knee Massacre that took place in 1890.
Austin wrote in a memo, “The [special review panel] may consider the context of the overall engagement as appropriate, including as necessary to understand each [Wounded Knee Creek Medal of Honor] recipient’s individual actions.”
In a separate statement, a senior defense official shared, “It’s never too late to do what’s right.”
The official added, “And that’s what is intended by the review that the secretary directed, which is to ensure that we go back and review

Judging 19th century men with woke thought of the 21st century. Hopefully, in 250 years we won't be the only ones that think these people are despicable.

It's also never to late to rescind that Nobel Peace Prize awarded to Barack Obama either.
No one alive today was at Wounded Knee back then, but, there ae plenty of witnesses to the big fat-nothing Obama did for his award.

Here’s an easier solution. Since the Democrats are already revising Joe and Kamala’s records to make them more palatable, why not go a step further and revise these soldiers’ records, too?

Can't wait that this dumb piece of garbage will be out of his job in a few months. Oh, btw. we had Commie and Ruskie planes flying into our airspace. I understand who cares. Especially not this piece of wood.

So I guess that Sec Austin will require all these soldiers be duf up from their graves, medals removed, and have their uniforms removed out of shame.
Otherwise, it's just a woke fool flapping his gums and generating a ton of paper orders.

I thought it was the Congressional, not the Woke Medal of Honor. I didn't think the Executive branch had a thing to do with it. Congress bestows the honor. The president presents it.

I am so tired of wokesters who insist on rewriting and/or correcting history to conform to the standards of today. Better we try to understand the mindset of the people at that time. We might learn something…

The most remarkable (and not in a good way) thing about this administration and the people making it the disaster it is, is that they are clueless when it comes to setting adult priorities. Whether it was the reckless withdrawl from Afghanistan where they abandoned our soldiers and billions of dollars in military equipment, or opening our borders to unvetted illegals who became indebted to the cartels to get here, they misused and abused their power for reasons they couldn't even explain. Austin reinforced his poor judgment by deliberately withholding information about having surgery. Why he still has a job is beyond me.

Re #9. The name is Medal of Honor. No matter how often they say 'Congressional', it's not part of the name.
Three versions, USN MOH isn't the same design as Army or AF MOH.

The point of this is rewriting US history and further tearing down our republic. If PDT defeats the dem steal, he needs to scrub Lloyd's name from the Defense Department; that includes everywhere he's been and every office he's held. And, Lloyd needs to pay the American people back every dime that was paid to him. It's never too late to do what's right. PDT is going to have a busy first day. Call it revenge if you want; it needs to be done.

DNC version of “.. a chicken in every pot, a car in every driveway” digging at old wounds to cause more division. Me thinks the surgeons pulled a little too hard during surgery. What next, union soldiers under investigation ? Silliness while people starve and cities are overrun with crime.

Since all are dead there are no witnesses to what actually occurred on the ground at Wounded Knee back in 1890, so this has to be a partisan political move by a Democrat appointee in an attempt to essentially buy votes in the upcoming general election, and is like awarding the Medal of Honor to George Floyd!
