The FBI wants to question Donald Trump about his near-death experience when he survived an assassination attempt earlier this month.
It has yet to receive a victim statement from the former president as it collects evidence to investigate the horrifying event, one official said.
The bureau's director Christopher Wray sparked a firestorm on Wednesday when he testified to lawmakers on Capitol Hill that there are still 'some question' about whether the former president was struck with a bullet or shrapnel. In a subsequent statement he sought to clarify that remark.
Trump was quick to refute any suggestion that he was hit by shrapnel, saying

Trump should not answer any of the FBI questions. The FBI is notorious for their "lying to the FBI" setups.

With all the legitimate leads, this is what the FBI decides to investigate?

What difference does it make about whether he was shot or not or how serious the injury was. These questions have the purpose of diverting from the seriousness of the fact that there was an attempt on his life.

Having had numerous pieces of Iraqi shrapnel and bullets removed from my body and several still lodged in my body, I fail to see the difference between getting hit by part of a bullet and a whole bullet.

Are they going to investigate this whether the red stuff that came out of his ear was real blood?

They have no interest in investigating anything. At best it is a cover up. At worst it is a perjury trap. They are not interested in catching crooks or getting justice. They are only interested in getting Trump.
I hope I live to see the treason trials.

The story makes it sound like they are going to "Investigate Trump"(again), who has ZERO reason to trust the FBI,and they have ZERO reason to ask him anything about THAT day or any other..
All it really says is that they have not received a "Victims Statement" from him...as if they need one.
They also have failed to mention the 4 Pittsburgh motorcycle cops who were slightly wounded by shrapnel at the same event...or explained why 2 of them were relieved of duty because they fulfilled their contract to escort the Trump motorcade rather than pulling out to escort Jill instead.

It's time for the Anita Hill mantra:
It's the seriousness of the charge, not the nature of the evidence.
I sure hope that PDT has his people video the interview so no one can edit what PDT will say.
(Actually, the PDT acceptance speech said it all.)

The SS has tested drones to learn how to disrupt other drones that may get too close to the White House. Yet the agency not only showed up to protect Donald Trump and his supporters without drones of its own, but it also rejected offers from local law enforcement to deploy THEIR drones.
Upon receiving (for the second time since the shooting) reports that there's "some question" regarding what produced the injury to Donald Trump's ear, a reasonable person might have bigger questions.
But for the deliberate refusal to deploy drones to protect President Trump and his supporters, would there be any question surrounding what caused his injury, how access to the roof was achieved, or what other conditions might have been ripe for exploitation? Why settle for limited visual information when an overhead view was available?

Mr. Trump, please exercise your right to remain silent. If you speak with the FBI, by the time they are done, they will decide it was a failed suicide attempt and charge you with murder for the death of Mr. Comperatore.

Please don't do it! Every American should refuse to answer questions from the FBI. At best, it's a process trap for a felony. At worst, some Jan 6 gulag. Trump should tell Wray to pound sand and that he will not under any circumstance submit to questioning by the FBI. And he should make clear he will involve his 5th amendment rights. The FBI exist to put Democrat opponents in jail for a very long time. Herr Himmler started the state police to persecute political opponents. Obambi and Diaper Joe with Wray's devotion have perfected it.

The only assassination attempt victims worthy of glory are Democrats. Ironically, all assassins are left-leaning nut-jobs, like this kid.
The FBI waited a little too long to ask President Reagan if those bullets he took really came from John Hinckley's revolver...

Shrapnel? Poor little wussy Trump was hit with a lousy piece of shrapnel? Lemme tell you about shrapnel. Paktia Province, Afghanistan, 1988: I was helping the mujahidin (then our friends!) against the Russians and we thought we were safe behind a hill when the Russians unleashed a multi-rocket barrage and I heard a whizzing sound beside my ear and felt the air against my face and when I crawled out of the trench I had fled to—unfortunately the camp latrine—I found an eight-inch rocket tail fin embedded in the tree behind where I was sitting, which had it been one inch closer would have taken my head off. Funny thing about shrapnel, folks, it kills you just as dead as a bullet and in most cases, one hell of a lot messier.

Victim statement..."just look at my damn ear you wankers".....the FBI is not what it was when Elliot Ness was there...I'm sure there are still some decent agents, probably covering their backsides from the powers that be that want to get rid of their security clearances because they are white, straight, conservative, Christians...can't have that in the FBI any longer can we??

#16. You're too late. They are already there.
For me, they are the Ferral Bureau of Instigation, Intimidation, and interrogation.
As far as the FBI wanting to talk to President Trump, they have got to be kidding.
If he's forced to, he should just say "Talk to my lawyer"
I wonder if they'll have guns drawn if he agrees to meet with him.
I think the assassination attempt at Butler, PA was the second. The first was Mar-A-Largo.

What difference does it make! If it was shrapnel, then there are a lot more pieces flying around. Where did they go? This is a decidedly stupid blind alley for the FBI to go down. Other people were struck and had to have the items that struck them. If they were bullets than they have proof. The medical staff that treated Trump should be able to confirm it was a bullet. It sounds like the FBI is harassing Trump for no good reason.

Infuriating- they should be going after the idiots in the USSS and Homeland Security who thought it was perfectly fine to leave a basically flat roofed building less than 150 yards from the podium unsecured when a presidential candidate was speaking.

How would Trump know what piece or part of the bullet was that hit him in his right ear, as that projectile flew through his ear at about three thousand feet a second? Trump’s physician who treated him said that it appeared to be a bullet that cut a groove through Trump’s ear lobe. The looks like the FBI Director made an error, probably politically connected, when he commented about what hit Trump, as chances are that bullet will never be found.

If Trump agrees to be questioned by the FBI, he better have his own trusted security. How can he or anyone at this point trust the FBI around Trump. When the FBI raided Mar-a-Lago they brought their own incriminating evidence with them. So, I certainly wouldn't trust ANY FBI agents to be in a room with Trump. If any tapes, recordings or FBI notes are to be taken during an interview, Trump better have his own corroborating data, as we know tapes, recordings and notes can and will be edited against Trump by the FBI.
Get that security, President Trump.
