Why SCOTUS Will Toss 350 J6 Convictions

It’s unlikely that many Americans sat down with a second cup of coffee and listened to last Tuesday’s oral arguments before the Supreme Court in Fischer v. United States. Nonetheless, it was an edifying tutorial on how the Department of Justice abused a federal law in order to charge J6 rioters with a serious felony. The statute is part of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, passed in 2002 to prevent corporations from tampering with evidence to obstruct congressional inquiries or other official proceedings. For 19 years, the law was used only for that purpose. Then, in 2021, the DOJ redefined “official proceedings” to mean anything the government does, including

Even Brown was, in her own words "I’m struggling with leaping from what’s happening in (c1) in the context in which it was actually enacted to all of obstruction in any form." Yeah, even Brown can see that they make an impossible leap of illogic, and have NOTHING except trespassing and disorderly conduct on these people. And all these victims need to be able to collect PERSONALLY financial damages from the criminal persecutors who persecuted them.

What's taken the Supreme Court so long to look into this? It's not a secret that many of these people were railroaded in a kangaroo court and the judgements should have been thrown out immediately.

I would bet the SC is afraid to start to untie that knot. Kind of like they are with election of 2020. I think they are cowards.

Migrant Pain for the Heartland 3 replies

Although the Badger State is 2000 miles away from Mexico, the fallout of Biden’s open border bleeds into the American heartland, literally so in many cases. In reality, the Biden-Harris open borders agenda transforms every jurisdiction in America into a border town, including small villages like Whitewater, Wisconsin. That previously tranquil small town of 15,000 in southern Wisconsin has been flooded with about 1,000 new migrants during Biden’s term, mostly from Nicaragua and Venezuela. Such a mass influx places intense strain upon public resources, including schools ill-prepared to handle so many new students, many of whom do not speak English. Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg's case against former President Trump is a "historic mistake," a law professor argued in an opinion piece published Tuesday. In a New York Times guest essay, Boston University law professor Jed Handelsman Shugerman argued Bragg was overreaching in his attempts to try a federal election crime under New York state law. He said the Manhattan's DA allegation against Trump was "vague" since the prosecution failed to specify "an election crime or a valid theory of fraud."

Covering former President Donald Trump‘s trial on television is a difficult job. There are no cameras in the courtroom, so TV news has to rely on quick messages from staffers watching the trial in an overflow room in the Manhattan courthouse where Trump is being tried for making false bookkeeping entries concerning a nondisclosure agreement he had with the porn actress Stormy Daniels. Without being able to televise the proceedings, some news networks that are committed to wall-to-wall coverage of the trial, primarily CNN and MSNBC*, are reduced to filling the time with talk. A lot of talk. Judging by the first day’s coverage, they’re not satisfied with devoting hours

Hocus-pocus is a meaningless distraction or illusion that is intended to fool. That neatly summarizes District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s case against Donald Trump. The DA hopes to snooker a Manhattan jury into convicting the former president with a bag of legal tricks. In most courtrooms, the chicanery would never work. But in this Trump-hating venue the defendant’s jury of purported peers are likely predisposed to accept magic for magic’s sake. They may want to believe there’s no white rabbit behind Bragg’s back, despite the pink ears peaking around his coat. The first sleight of hand happened the moment the lead prosecutor addressed jurors during opening statements on Monday.

When President Biden warned Iran not to attack Israel with the single word “Don’t,” he was setting himself up to look foolish and weak. The Iranian theocratic dictatorship pays no heed to Mr. Biden. Iran’s leaders have taken his measure over months of proxy warfare. Iran and its proxies have killed Americans, routinely fired at U.S. bases and ships, and enthusiastically ignored every American effort to appease them. Mr. Biden has done nothing. When he said “don’t,” Iran did — with 335 drones and missiles. We might have expected some serious reaction from a president who had publicly instructed Iran not to attack. Instead, we got a pathetic, desperate

So these are the racist Americans President Biden warned us about. Isra Hirsi got bounced from Barnard College over the weekend after being jailed for refusing to obey police orders to disband a 20-tent “Gaza Solidarity Encampment” on the lawn of Columbia University in New York during a vicious anti-Israel protest last week. The college campus demonstrations include calls for Israel to be “burned to the ground” and Jews to be shipped “back to Poland.” Yikes. Also: “Hamas, we love you. We support your rockets, too.” The open embrace of terrorists and personal targeting of Jewish students at Columbia and elsewhere has become so brazen that Jewish students

Former President Donald Trump starts his trial on Monday forbidden to speak publicly about the witnesses against him in a case some experts have called weak and politically motivated. But the witnesses are not forbidden from speaking about Trump. Indeed, one of the witnesses in the case, former Trump fixer Michael Cohen, is today in the full-time Trump-bashing business and talks about Trump all the time. Cohen does his talking on MSNBC and other media outlets, as well as his own podcast. Cohen’s motive in speaking about Trump is no secret. He titled his book about Trump Revenge, which, no matter what Cohen might say, clearly referred to Cohen’s

A complaint I hear increasingly leveled at contemporary American politicians is that they are out of touch with voters, if not downright contemptuous of them. On a number of core issues, politicians seem less concerned with pursuing policies that are deeply unpopular with ordinary Americans than with upholding the ideologies and self-interests of the ruling elite. Two dramatic examples of this political disconnect with average citizens are the refusal of urban governments to prosecute violent criminals, which has caused a surge in crime, and the White House’s tolerance of mass immigration, which threatens jobs, security, and the rule of law.

George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley said he is in “utter disbelief” over the opening statements of the trial brought forth by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg. Former President Donald Trump arrived at the courthouse Monday to hear opening statements from the prosecution and defense teams over the 34-count indictment accusing him of falsifying business records to cover up an alleged hush money payment to former porn actress Stormy Daniels. It is alleged that Trump’s former lawyer Michael Cohen paid $130,000 to Daniels to keep an alleged extramarital affair between her and Trump undisclosed ahead of the 2016 presidential election.

Presidential elections can be put into three categories: stay the course, turn the page and transformation. In 2004, President George W. Bush was prosecuting the War on Terror and Americans choose to stay the course. In 2008, voters wanted a change in course and enough voters saw then-Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) as transformational to elect him. In 2012, President Obama simply ran a better campaign than Mitt Romney and voters decided to stay the course. In 2016, Donald Trump became the voice of middle-class angst and won a surprising victory that transformed the Republican Party. In 2020, voters wanted to lower the volume

As Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s transparently political prosecution of former President Donald Trump began last week, it is important to remember that the former president is not the only target of the Democratic Party‘s campaign to use government power to silence political dissent. The Left’s efforts to intimidate conservative activists this month included Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) delivering a congressional subpoena to Federalist Society Co-Chairman Leonard Leo. It was voted on by the Senate Judiciary Committee last November without securing a single Republican vote. Durbin has not explained why the subpoena was not delivered for five months.

House Speaker Mike Johnson reportedly apologized to President Joe Biden for rolling his eyes at the president’s angry State of the Union address in March. Johnson’s office did not deny his apology when Breitbart News asked for comment. The apology is the latest revelation that suggests Johnson’s sympathies lie with the establishment and Washington, DC, elites, rather than with the voters who elected him to Congress and the Republican conference. Just last week, Biden steamrolled Johnson by allowing Democrats to, in effect, seize control of the House, thereby allowing Biden’s agenda to sail through Congress.

Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) believes that former President Donald Trump is guilty, something he stated clearly publicly, even before Trump’s trial is really underway. When asked by CNN’s Manu Raju, about the allegations that Trump falsified business records to hide payments made to porn star Stormy Daniels, Romney gave Trump a guilty verdict. “I think everybody has made their own assessment of President Trump’s character, and so far as I know you don’t pay someone $130,000 not to have sex with you,” Romney said. Trump is currently facing 34 counts of falsifying business records in the first degree regarding payments made to Daniels during the 2016 presidential election.

Pope Francis commemorated Earth Day on Monday by warning that the planet is “falling into ruin” thanks to humanity’s failure to protect it. “Our generation has bequeathed many riches, but we have failed to protect the planet and we are not safeguarding peace,” the pontiff chided on X (former Twitter). “We are called to become artisans and caretakers of our common home, the Earth which is ‘falling into ruin,’” he declared, followed by “#EarthDay.” For the 50th anniversary of Earth Day in 2020, Pope Francis issued a similar indictment of humanity’s failure to care for the planet, blaming human selfishness for the ruin of the earth.

Perhaps they still don't know that Kennedy is a radical leftist or that he picked a radical leftist as his running mate. I have no idea. Whether these delusional conservatives can be convinced or not, I can't say, but I feel compelled to do everything I can to educate them about who they are planning to support.
