'landline phones forever'

Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg made fun of Americans who don't want to buy electric cars, claiming they're the same as people didn't want to adapt to cell phones in the 2000s.
It comes as at least eight states run by Democrats like Buttigieg are planning to ban non-electric vehicles by 2032.
Buttigieg was speaking on Fox News Tuesday afternoon when he was asked about a downturn in sales of Teslas and electric vehicles in general despite Biden's administration pushing them. He said: 'Let's be clear, the automotive sector is moving toward EVs and we can't pretend otherwise.

The automobile manufacturers are being hounded and threatened by the Biden administration. Dealers lots are full of unsold EVs. Mayor Pete would know this if he ever left DC.

The transition to cell service was organic and driven by natural market forces. It did not happen through government fiat.

Great move, Pete. Call 90% of Americans stupid for not wanting electric cars. Good luck ever actually running in an election for anything again.

Pete Butt is heavily invested. Statements like this are made to protect their investments. They need you to buy EVs or they lose money. This isn't governing.

He wants us to go back to the 1800's or earlier. I would love to see him go back for a visit. He might not be so keen on earlier centuries either.

#2 - You named the thing I’d like to see him bludgeoned with. A weapon Dems would never consider banning.

Funny thing about landlines......the FBI can't track the Metadata and ATT didn't send you unsolicited ads.

I do not have a smartphone. Don't want one don't need one. However, the vast majority of people do and consider it an improvement over a landline or flip phone. I also do not have an electric car because it is not an improvement over a gas powered car. Maybe one day but not now. Can you prove me wrong, Pete? I don't think so. My God, you are an irritating little pest. You are like a boil on the butt of the world. When I see your face I turn off the tv. And I am in Indiana. Sorry, America. Another DEI employee. Short and gay. His only qualifications.

It used to be a free country. And, yes, I still have my land line. It works when the power is out, they have an entirely different power system for the phones and huge battery backups and generators for backing that up.
Drop dead you rotten commie pervert.

Electric cars, like wind turbines, solar panels, Buttigiegs and perhaps cell phones, are big mistakes. Only the last will survive.

Hey Pete! I'd tell you to go suck an egg, but you'd probably like it.
I still have a land line. I live in the mountains, nestled in my own little valley. A totally cell-phone dead area. We need a land line and will need it forever. Suck that egg anyway!

False equivalency. The telecommunications industry provided a value added alternative to the land line and did not mandate people to replace their landline.

Well to be honest, I liked it better before cell phones. People talked. Young boys worked on cars. Kids played outside. Now, everyone has their nose in their device as they just get fatter and fatter.

The Buttster could not fix the potholes in South Bend and now he purports to be an automotive engineer? Everbody point and laugh at Alfred E. Neuman and his pronouncements. By now, we know his credibility is less than zero.
