The state of Mississippi issued a cease-and-desist order against BlackRock for allegedly misleading investors on its environmental, social, and governance investment strategies.
Mississippi secretary of state Michael Watson (R.) on Tuesday served BlackRock with the order and a notice of of intent to impose an administrative penalty, potentially a multi-million dollar fine, for what Watson believes to be BlackRock’s pattern of deceiving investors on the asset manager’s climate investment goals.
“BlackRock has made and continues to make untrue statements of material fact, and to omit material facts

A 3,000-acre solar farm 40 miles from Houston, Texas, was massively damaged on March 15 when huge chunks of hail fell from the sky and shattered hundreds of panels, leaving the facility running at “reduced capacity.” From the look of the pictures, it would seem that it’s operating at heavily reduced capacity. Not only does the storm highlight the fragility of so-called green energy facilities, but area residents are worried about toxic chemical leaks. Needville resident Nick Kaminski spoke with a local television affiliate:
My concern is the hail damage that came through and busted these panels – we now have some highly toxic chemicals

Israeli government spokesman Avi Hyman said Wednesday that there had been “zero” civilian casualties in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) attack on Hamas terrorists at the Shifa Hospital in Gaza city, despite many terrorist casualties.
As Breitbart News has reported, the IDF discovered earlier this month that Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorists had returned to Shifa Hospital, which Israel had cleared out late last year, discovering terrorist weapons and tunnels. When the IDF returned to the hospital, it came under fire from terrorists inside the facility, and began a careful and methodical attack that has seen, at last count, 170 terrorists killed and nearly 500 members of terror groups arrested.

signed a bill Wednesday to crack down on squatters taking over homes in the state.
A TikToker recently went viral for telling illegal migrants how to use squatters’ rights to steal Americans’ homes, and there have been reports of squatters in states like New York. DeSantis said this new legislation will speed up and simplify the process to remove squatters from homes during a press conference on the bill in Orlando. “We are putting an end to the squatters scam in Florida,” DeSantis said. “While other states are siding with the squatters, we are protecting property owners and punishing criminals looking to game the system.”

Former President Barack Obama and President Joe Biden are closely coordinating as the 2024 election approaches, signaling Obama is worried about Biden's potential loss to former President Donald Trump. Biden frequently calls Obama to discuss the ongoing election and personal matters. But, talking to Ol' Joe and being productive seem to be two different things, so Obama is taking matters into his own hands by reaching out to Jeffrey D. Zients, the White House chief of staff, and key aides in the Biden campaign to strategize and offer advice. Obama's active participation demonstrates not so much his backing of Biden as much as his profound worry about Biden potentially

A divided appeals court said in a late-night ruling that a controversial Texas immigration law cannot go into effect as the state appeals a ruling that blocked it.
The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals handed down the 2-1 ruling regarding Senate Bill 4 on Tuesday night, just a week after it had previously blocked the law, which – if enforced – would allow law enforcement in Texas to arrest suspected illegal immigrants and allow state judges to deport them. The court noted that this tends to be the jurisdiction of the federal government.
"The broadest exercise of federal discretion is the Executive’s decision not to pursue either civilly or criminally

Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin (R) vetoed Democrat lawmakers’ “assault weapons” ban on Tuesday, along with a number of other Democrat-backed gun controls.
On January 23, 2024, Breitbart News noted that Virginia Democrats were advancing an “assault weapons” ban.
On February 9, 2024, Breitbart News pointed out that the Virginia House Democrats “assault firearm” ban targeted semiautomatic centerfire pistols — like the 9mm or 45 ACP — if said pistols take a detachable magazine and have a threaded barrel.
Semiautomatic centerfire pistols are wildly popular among concealed carriers and target shooters. Some of the most popular semiautomatic centerfire pistols include the 9mm, 45 ACP, and 10mm, and a pistol chambered

Amit Soussana, a female lawyer who battled her captors as they took her hostage from Kfar Aza, Israel, during the October 7 terror attack, suffered sexual assaults by a Hamas terrorist in Gaza, she told the New York Times.
In an interview published Tuesday, Soussana, 40, provided details about how she was tortured, groped, and forced to perform a sexual act on one of the guards watching in a room at a private home during her weeks in captivity.
Soussana is the first Israeli hostage to provide details to the public about being a victim of sexual violence by Hamas. The Times reported:
“He came towards me and shoved the gun

Last summer the regime of socialist dictator Nicolas Maduro announced that leading opposition candidate Maria Corina Machado was ineligible to run for office. The country hadn't held an election in five years at that point but Machado was expected to be the leading candidate if the current government agreed to hold an election.
The opposition held a primary to decide who would face off with Maduro and, as expected, Machado won despite the government sending out its colectivo thugs on motorbikes to harass opposition voters.
Machado hoped that a clear win in the primary would embarrass the socialist government into allowing her on the ballot, but in January

Buoyed by legions of avid supporters, Donald Trump made a bubbly debut on the Nasdaq stock exchange Tuesday.
Shares of Trump Media & Technology Group soared like helium from the opening bell and maintained most of those gains until late in the trading day when a selloff brought Trump's namesake social media company closer to earth with a closing market value of nearly $8 billion, on par with ride-hailing company Lyft and online marketplace Etsy.
It was also an epic trading day for Trump, the presumptive GOP presidential nominee and Trump Media's largest shareholder.

Ronna McDaniel, the former chair of the Republican National Committee, was ousted by NBC News as a paid contributor after vocal protests from the network’s staff over her hiring.
NBCU News Group Chair Cesar Conde announced the decision to part with Daniels, who just made her inaugural network appearance Sunday, to staff in a Tuesday memo obtained by The Hill. “No organization, particularly a newsroom, can succeed unless it is cohesive and aligned,” Conde wrote. “Over the last few days, it has become clear that this appointment undermines that goal.”

Newsmax, the conservative cable news channel touted by former President Trump and his allies, received funding from a member of the Qatari royal family during Trump’s years in the White House, according to a new report.
The Washington Post reported Tuesday that a member of the Qatari royal family invested roughly $50 million in Newsmax in 2019 and 2020, citing documents and representatives for the media company and the royal. At the time the investment was made, the Post noted a coalition of countries led by Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates had put up a diplomatic and economic blockade against Qatar, over what they said were ties to terrorist
