Londoners Slam Latest Woke Sculpture:
‘Hideous Political Trash’

The latest “contemporary” sculpture to be unveiled in London’s Trafalgar Square has sparked an uproar, with critics slamming the cartoonish figure as “hideous political trash.” The square has been home to many art installations over the decades, with the Fourth Plinth featuring a rotating cast of artworks every few years since 1999. Detractors aren’t surprised that the sculpture has been changed, but that the latest replacement doesn’t appear to represent native Londoners.Lady in Blue is a sculpture of a black woman with abstract proportions, including strangely long arms and very pronounced buttocks and legs.

Just part of the uglification of civilization. Fits right in with the tattoo bodies and piercings, graffiti, feces, hypodermic needles, litter and drugged out bodies of addicts sprawled on sidewalks and parks. Welcome to the new normal.

It is NOT ugly. But it does faithfully represent an honest perspective of a common Black female body type of African heritage. And even more it depicts a proudly moving Black woman - what we see that has happened in fatherless Black families where woman have sadly been forced to head their families.

It isn't that bad. It's a lot better than that "tribute" sculpture to Martin Luther King and his wife that was just a couple of pairs of arms. At certain angles it was downright grotesque. Google The Embrace sculpture to see how bad it is.

It makes me wonder if the artist isn't promoting the old calumny that blacks are little better than baboons? I could imagine this during the debates on the morality of slavery back in the early 1800s, or in the pages of a penny-dreadful.

It looks like lots of stylized ethnic Black art. It isn't horrible as people are saying. No, it is not everyone's cup of tea, but other might see themselves in it. Art should get a reaction from the viewer. This sculpture certainly does.

Israel faces the prospect of a U.S.-backed “color revolution” in the middle of its war against Hamas terrorists in Gaza as the opposition backs street protests against government, and a key cabinet minister has demanded new elections. A “color revolution” is a coup d’état accomplished through mass protests targeting the existing government, elected or not, with the assistance of the media — and, usually, with backing from foreign powers, including the United States. For the six months since the October 7 terror attack, Israel had seen remarkable unity, with protests — mostly centered in Tel Aviv — against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s judicial reforms

Multiple cases of the infection in a variety of mammals, including cows, cats and, more recently, humans, are all raising the risk of the virus mutating to become more transmissible, they said.
