President Biden unveiled his election-year budget pitch Monday, calling for $5.5 trillion in tax increases by raising rates on the wealthy and corporations — while driving up spending by $7.3 trillion on defense, federal benefit programs, affordable housing and student debt cancellation, among other proposals.
The fiscal year 2025 budget — which is highly unlikely to be approved by Congress — matches last year’s topline tax increase level and spends $300 billion more while purportedly cutting the federal deficit by $3 trillion over the next 10 years, the White House said on Monday.

I remember well, Walter Mondale saying at this acceptance speech "Who ever wins in November will raise your taxes. Ronald Reagan will never tell you this. I just did". And that was the end of him! Let us hope that is what happens to Diaper Joe.

Trying to take us full-Commie in his final year. Don't be too surprised if the WH simply orders everybody to remit all their assets to the IRS...

We are already paying close to an extra $1,000 a month because of his attack on our economy. Companies just pass those taxes onto their customers in some form. This will push it way past the $2,000 mark. And then he will have to drop down to us. It's expensive giving all the ILLEGALS the so called "free goodies". You think inflation is bad now just wait. It is going up. Plus he will be attacking our food and energy supplies which will cost us big time. FJB

Hopefully with a Republican controlled House and Senate this is dead on arrival. Hold their feet to the fire!

Send the budget of 2000 to Congress. That budget that didn't include Homeland Insecurity, thousands of additional IRS agents, millions of additional illegals and who knows how many additional federal employees. Let these federal leechees start living within their means.

What a joke...they will never cut the deficit until the stop spending money on stupid stuff, like Ukraine, or funding studies on why shrimp jump, or frogs don't get out of boiling water, or whatever other stupid money wasting studies, and giving SS money to people who never paid a dime into the fund or all the other wasteful spending they do...

Typical Dem plan, all the goodies right away to buy votes, all the pain 8 years down the road after they leave office. Every dem plan is the same.
Anyone else remember dems pledge to seal the Border ifvReagan granted Amnesty to 3 million illegals. Amnesty happened 40 years ago, the Border is still wide open.
Don't ever fall for anything a Dem promises in a "10 yea rplan".

With this, Biden is unveiling his utter incompetence, greed and disdain for the American people. Anybody who votes for a boondoggle like this should be removed from congress and marched immediately to the gallows. Do not separate them into democrat and republican groups because there is no difference.

Nothing like stirring up some class warfare in an election year. Unfortunately a lot of dimwit voters do not understand simple economics. The 'rich' invest in business, create jobs, and produce goods. They do this for a profit. We call it 'capitalism'. Hiking taxes on them to expand government power results in consumers losing their jobs and paying inflated prices for everything. Democrats Do Not Care. Does that cover it?

Wonder if this is a symptom of our government being unofficially bankrupt. They do not have the money for this! They think raising taxes will solve everything. Doubt they actually believe that. This is a show for someone's benefit. Lenders?

There is no budget and anyone with a brain knows that. It's all by fiat. There is no end to the money they will create to fulfill their objective: destroy our constitutional republic.
