Biden unveils massive $7.3T budget with
$5.5T in tax hikes, plans for ‘highest

President Biden unveiled his election-year budget pitch Monday, calling for $5.5 trillion in tax increases by raising rates on the wealthy and corporations — while driving up spending by $7.3 trillion on defense, federal benefit programs, affordable housing and student debt cancellation, among other proposals. The fiscal year 2025 budget — which is highly unlikely to be approved by Congress — matches last year’s topline tax increase level and spends $300 billion more while purportedly cutting the federal deficit by $3 trillion over the next 10 years, the White House said on Monday.

We are already paying close to an extra $1,000 a month because of his attack on our economy. Companies just pass those taxes onto their customers in some form. This will push it way past the $2,000 mark. And then he will have to drop down to us. It's expensive giving all the ILLEGALS the so called "free goodies". You think inflation is bad now just wait. It is going up. Plus he will be attacking our food and energy supplies which will cost us big time. FJB

Nothing like stirring up some class warfare in an election year. Unfortunately a lot of dimwit voters do not understand simple economics. The 'rich' invest in business, create jobs, and produce goods. They do this for a profit. We call it 'capitalism'. Hiking taxes on them to expand government power results in consumers losing their jobs and paying inflated prices for everything. Democrats Do Not Care. Does that cover it?

Biden and Trump clinch nominations, setting
the stage for a grueling general election rematch

President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump clinched their parties’ presidential nominations Tuesday with decisive victories in a slate of low-profile primaries, setting up a general election rematch that many voters do not want. The outcome of contests across Georgia, Mississippi and Washington state was never in doubt. Neither Biden, a Democrat, nor Trump, a Republican, faced major opposition. But the magnitude of their wins gave each man the delegate majority he needed to claim his party’s nomination at the summertime national conventions. Not even halfway through the presidential primary calendar, Tuesday marked a crystalizing moment for a nation uneasy with its choices in 2024.

In a Facebook post, the state GOP blamed an outside vendor who rented space at the event to promote a martial arts school.

What Cohn says about U.S. inflation is essentially accurate and I have a Cliff Notes, tldr, HERE. However, what Cohn says about tariffs creating inflation is not accurate,

Former President Donald Trump said Monday that he still believes TikTok poses a national security risk but is opposed to banning the hugely popular app because doing so would help its rival, Facebook, which he continues to lambast over his 2020 election loss. Trump, in a call-in interview with CNBC’s “Squawk Box,” was asked about his comments last week that seemed to voice opposition to a bill being advanced by Congress that would effectively ban TikTok and other ByteDance apps from the Apple and Google app stores as well as U.S. web hosting services. “Frankly, there are a lot of people on TikTok that love it.

The Senate on Friday approved a $460 billion package of spending bills in time to meet a midnight deadline for avoiding a shutdown of many key federal agencies, a vote that gets lawmakers about halfway home in wrapping up their appropriations work for the 2024 budget year. The measure contains six annual spending bills and has already passed the House. It now goes to President Joe Biden to be signed into law. The White House said he would do so Saturday, and “agencies will not shut down and may continue their normal operations.”

Two years ago, I accepted the reality that Western sanctions against Russia were profoundly different from all other sanctions and completely ridiculous in the bigger picture of how the global economy operates.

It’s almost Super Tuesday when voters in 16 states and one territory will cast their ballots in the 2024 presidential primaries. Here’s why the day matters — and why it looks a little different this year. It’s traditionally the biggest day nationwide for primary elections and caucuses before the actual Election Day in November. Until now, only one or two states have held primaries or caucuses on the same day. This Tuesday, voters in 16 different states and one territory (Get it? “Super” Tuesday.) will be choosing who they want to run for president. Some states are also choosing who should run for governor or senator for their state,
