Iranian Regime's Sham 'Elections': Perpetuating
the Deception

Original Article

Iran's so-called "elections" stand out as a grotesque parody of democracy. Yet... the mainstream Western media persistently mislabel these charades as "elections," thereby bestowing legitimacy upon a regime entrenched in authoritarianism and dictatorship. For decades, Iranians have endured oppression, censorship, and violence at the hands of a regime that masquerades as a legitimate government while trampling on their basic rights. To dismiss their struggle by equating their aspirations for freedom with a sham electoral spectacle is to disregard the sacrifices made by countless activists, journalists and ordinary citizens who dare to dream of a better future.

Our own elections are a grotesque sham of democracy. I never saw election interference like this mess we now have with the Democrats charging Trump with everything except being a white man, I guess they haven't thought of that charge yet.

China has intensified efforts to block software that enables internet users to access banned websites during a top political meeting this week, a leading provider of firewall-leaping software told AFP. Beijing operates some of the world's most extensive censorship over the internet, with web users in mainland China unable to access everything from Google to news websites without using a virtual private network (VPN). And as thousands of delegates gather in Beijing this week for the annual "Two Sessions" meeting, VPN software has increasingly struggled to circumvent the censorship while outages have become much more frequent, even when compared to during previous sensitive political events.

The FBI and the Department of Homeland Security warned state and local election officials about Russia’s activities related to the 2024 election during a briefing in December classified as “SECRET-level.” The secret “Election Infrastructure Classified Briefing,” held Dec. 6 by the Biden administration agencies, focused on Russia’s online tactics such as misinformation or disinformation, according to an agenda. “Election stakeholders are invited to a SECRET-level classified briefing with CISA, DHS [Office of] Intelligence & Analysis, FBI, and other intelligence community partners on the threats Russia poses to elections,” the briefing agenda says.

What is essential to remember is that the Houthis and other proxies of Iran are in all likelihood deeply apprehensive about the prospect of their senior leadership being targeted. By refraining from targeting Houthi leaders, the United States has inadvertently emboldened the group and allowed them to act with impunity. In recent months, the Red Sea has become a battleground for attacks by the Iran-backed Houthis of Yemen, with the Biden administration facing mounting criticism for its failure to quell the escalating violence. As the Houthi group continues to build its weapons stockpile in Yemen, supported by the Iranian regime, the urgency of the situation cannot be overstated.

The death of Sen. Mitch McConnell’s billionaire sister-in-law is being investigated as a crime weeks after her body was pulled from her submerged car in Texas. Angela Chao, 50, was found dead in her sinking vehicle in a pond on a ranch in Johnson City, near Austin, on Feb. 11. “Although the preliminary investigation indicated this was an unfortunate accident, the Sheriff’s Office is still investigating this accident as a criminal matter until they have sufficient evidence to rule out criminal activity,” the Blanco County Sheriff’s Office wrote in a Thursday letter to state Attorney General Ken Paxton, according to CNBC.

Just how politicized is Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis' office and her prosecution of Donald Trump and 18 other Republicans? It's been obvious since day one that this prosecution is all about politics, but in the last few days we've learned specific details about Willis' conflicts of interest and her office's apparent collusion with the White House. However, there's now even more unethical behavior to report out of Willis' office. In May 2022, right around the time Willis seated a grand jury to investigate Donald Trump, a new part-time employee showed up at the office. Her title was innocuous enough: Records and Documents Supervisor.

Just days ago, on February 14 to be precise, Vladimir Putin said he prefers Biden in the 2024 presidential race. Nevertheless, the media, often with the intelligence community’s aid, seems to be trying again in the indictment of Vladimir Smirnov to hint that Donald Trump is somehow being aided by Russia. Thin gruel, indeed. A quick review of the FBI’s consistent election meddling and gaslighting of voters is the necessary background for this week’s account. In case, like me, you’re finding it hard to keep track of all the gaslighting on Russia in recent years, Adam Mill kindly documents 14 recent Russian hoaxes:

Although I was born into a typical Democrat New York City family, I registered as a Republican as soon as I was old enough to vote. Why? Just to be different but at heart, I was as enamored of John F. Kennedy as the nuns at my high school. My first vote was for Democrat Hubert Humphrey, and I worked for Robert F. Kennedy’s senatorial campaign. But I was never really a Republican at heart until Ronald Reagan ran for president in 1976. Before that epiphany, I was as clueless as the rest of America, and when a German coworker asked me the difference between the two major parties,

It’s going to be difficult to get tens of millions of illegals out of the country. If there were some fear of that happening, the Democratic Party would rise up and steal as much of the American taxpayers’ money as necessary to protect this future constituency of theirs. Corporations that want cheap labor would press politicians with threats of reduced campaign money, and everybody knows politicians love other people’s money more than they love anything else. The illegals themselves would disappear under rocks, into holes in the ground, and into every cavity and crevice they could find to escape deportation.

The move reflects the former president’s desire to have loyalists within the party, which has raised alarms among Trump’s critics.

Americans sprang forward Sunday in the controversial annual tradition of daylight saving time, prompting over a dozen senators to re-up their push to “lock the clock” and make the change permanent. “We’re ‘springing forward’ but should have never ‘fallen back.’ My Sunshine Protection Act would end this stupid practice of changing our clocks back and forth,” Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) said last week as he renewed his efforts to end the practice. Back in 2022, a bill sponsored by Rubio — the Sunshine Protection Act of 2021 — cleared the Senate via unanimous consent. Several senators later indicated they didn’t realize what they were supporting at the time

His administration has grown increasingly unhappy with the mounting civilian death toll, now at more than 30,000, in Gaza from bombings and ground operations. Viewership was up a whopping 18% as compared to last year's SOTU, with more than 32 million people tuning in. That doesn't necessarily translate to good news for Biden as we'll discuss in a moment, but it was a welcome sign for the news networks. Viewership wasn't evenly divided among the networks, however. Texas governor Greg Abbott has turned the screw on the Biden administration by barring federal agents from one of the hottest flashpoints on the southern border. The White House was already demanding the Supreme Court allow it to rip down miles of razor wire the state government has strung across a 29-mile section of the border around Eagle Pass. Now the Texas National Guard has barred Border Patrol agents entirely from the 2.5-mile section of Shelby Park and defiantly stationed its military vehicles at the entrance to block access. 'That is not a decision that we agreed to,' Eagle Pass Mayor Rolando Salinas wrote as he reported the show of force on Facebook.

Katie Britt’s too. The media overreaction to hers not his tells us who liberals most fear as VP nominee.

Biden has never made a secret of his hatred for Bibi Netanyahu (and it’s easy to see why a stupid, draft-dodging man would hate an intelligent, accomplished warrior). Still, he’s now taking that hatred to new levels as he actively works to interfere in Israeli politics. For decades, leftists told us that it was morally wrong to try to affect a nation’s internal politics, but that doesn’t apply when the nation is a liberal democratic ally…and the world’s only Jewish state. The New York Intelligencer reported on sources saying that Biden intends to overthrow Netanyahu, the democratically elected president of a U.S. ally (emphasis mine):
