Democratic former Rep. Tom Suozzi will win a high-stakes special election in New York to succeed disgraced Republican George Santos, CNN projects, a result that will further shrink the House GOP’s narrow majority. While Suozzi’s win over Republican Mazi Pilip won’t affect control of the House, the result nevertheless has major implications for the GOP, which holds a narrow 219-212 majority in the chamber and can afford to lose just three votes on any partisan measure. An even tighter margin could prove critical in upcoming legislative battles over government funding and more.

I guess the GOP idea of banking your vote didn't work ... especially when you get hit with a snow storm on election day. Why Santos had to be tossed out when he was still gets me ... as did McCarthy's quitting (I would guess Gruesome Newsome is scheduling that special election for the day before the November 2024 general election). While vermin (and my apologies to the fine, upstanding moral vermin out there) like Omar, Talib, and Schiff are allowed to spread their odororious fumes throughout our People's House. Again, never underestimate the ability of the national Republican party (aka RINOs) to screw up a sure thing. A lesson taught to me by my high school history teacher over 50 years ago. RIP, Mr. Shriver.

As usual, the democrats circle the wagons while the republicans circle the firing squad! The lack of unity and the inability to fight fire with fire is the reason why the republicans are the party of stupid! Add the usual RINOS into this mix and failure is the result!

around an 11,000 vote margin out of around 160,000 votes cast...Scuzzi nearly beat Hochul to be Governor, and brought $MILLIONS in outside money to bear, Dems had a full court National Press for the seat. What did the RNC spend?...less than flowers, less than limos, less than a months booze and caviar budget.

He needs to run again for the seat in November. Democrats will not have a snow storm to suppress the traditional Republican in person vote. Also, Republicans will hopefully learn that voting absentee and voting early is important if they want to win.

The U.S. used a multi-bladed weapon to kill Iran-backed Kataib Hezbollah leader Abu Baqr al-Saadi in February. The U.S. targeted al-Saadi in Iraq on Feb. 7 out of retaliation for Kataib Hezbollah’s attacks against a military base in Jordan in late January that killed three U.S. troops. The weapon that was used to kill al-Saadi is a modified hellfire “flying ginsu” missile wielding six long blades, which was previously unreported in the aftermath of the strike, defense officials told The Wall Street Journal. The AGM-114 R9X hellfire missile, sometimes referred to as a Ginsu or a ninja bomb, does not contain a warhead and does not explode on impact, instead

LONDON/SINGAPORE - Global demand for liquefied natural gas (LNG) is estimated to rise by more than 50% by 2040, as China and countries in South and Southeast Asia use LNG to support their economic growth, Shell said on Wednesday. The market remains "structurally tight", with prices and price volatility remaining above historic averages, constraining growth, the world's largest LNG trader said in its 2024 annual LNG market outlook. Demand for natural gas has peaked in some regions, including Europe, Japan and Australia in the 2010s, but continues to rise globally, and is expected to reach around 625-685 million metric tons per year in 2040, Shell said

He hasn't taken a breather to recuperate from the campaigning either, plunging right back into the business of keeping FL humming along. The legislation he announced support for today, though, is kind of funny in its own right if you think about it in a national context. It's a shot sent squarely across the bow of California's soft-on-crime, unctuous Randall Flagg clone, Gavin Newsom.
