He probably couldn't pee, so they took him in for a bladder cath. Not unusual after prostate surgery. However, it could be something more serious. If he is discharged promptly, probably nothing much, but if he is admitted, hmmmm......

"Pentagon Press Secretary Maj. Gen. Pat Ryder told reporters in January that Magsamen was sick with the flu at the time of Austin’s hospitalization, which is why she was unable to notify the White House and other officials. Austin said Thursday that Magsamen has not offered her resignation."
"Kelly E. Magsamen is an American foreign policy and national security advisor serving as the chief of staff to the United States Secretary of Defense in the Biden administration."
Oh, one other thing:
February 11, 2024
"Austin has said he directly apologized to Biden and told him he was "deeply sorry" for not letting him know of his diagnosis immediately"
Sorry

Firstly, I pray for his recovery.
Now, I wonder if he had/has DEI (aka DIE) approved doctors. 🧐

Gee, I am so concerned about this obese Affirmative Action disgrace to his uniform who has systematically destroyed our military and left us vulnerable to a catastrophic attack by our enemies. He has the blood of our soldiers on his hands. No sympathy is warranted for this traitor.

Nothing worse than an "emergent bladder", especially one with an issue.

I hope he is removed from his job. It's the only chance we could get a better person for the job.

He should resign, but of course he won't.

Sounds like he is dealing with the same issue as King Charles. I wish him well but it’s time to retire and take care of his health issues.
FJB will replace him with a woman or another DEI hire.
Competency is not a consideration with Biden.

Time for him to pack it in, go home, and enjoy whatever amount of life remains.

If Austin "had a pair" he'd resign and quit putting DC through this charade, not that I care what Biden reaps. Besides, austin still get his entire gummint pension and/or retirement. That's why Biden picked someone half dead. It runs in the family.

This brings to mind people I've known who never called in sick.
Noble? Not at all: they either didn't trust others to effectively cover for them, or—almost always—they wanted to keep something secret, mostly how disorganized or ill-prepared they were.
I don't trust Austin at all. Zero.
The illness is probably genuine. "Working through it" smells to high heaven.

I wish him well and hope he heals. It might not be a bad idea to resign and take care of himself. Stress is bad and he needs to focus on himself and allow someone else to take over that position. May God help heal him.

Hmm, I am betting that he chose his surgeon based on something other than competence. If you use an affirmative action surgeon...this is what you get.

Austin needs to resign or else Joey needs to fire him. Get someone competent to replace him (after Trump is elected because Joey wll just hire an LBQRSTUVW person who is incapable of the job).
