New York City Mayor Eric Adams on Thursday announced a lawsuit against more than a dozen charter bus and transportation companies involved in busing migrants to New York City, seeking hundreds of millions of dollars for the care of migrants in the self-described "sanctuary" city.
"New York City has and will always do our part to manage this humanitarian crisis, but we cannot bear the costs of reckless political ploys from the state of Texas alone," Adams said in a statement . "Today, we are taking legal action against 17 companies that have taken part in Texas Governor Abbott’s scheme to transport tens of thousands of migrants

How does that Sanctuary City look now, Adams? You don't have the Cajones to go after Bidet and his lackeys, but go after the bus companies?

Going after small businesses for their LARGE mistakes. I hope the Texas AG assists these companies for their defense.
Oh yeah, and be sure the cases are heard in TEXAS, where we have fair trials, not those Kangaroo courts in NY.

Why isn't he suing Mexico? Why isn't he suing the Mexican cartels that control the illegal migration? Why isn't he suing Mayorkis? Why isn't he suing the Biden administration?

The actions of a vindictive and desperate man. Since the bus lines do drop off the "migrants" in NY state, their state law probably does apply. Lawfare indeed.

The Mayor of New York City suing domestic bus companies is not going to work, as once illegal aliens (migrants) are processed in accordance with the Biden "open borders" policies by US immigration officers, and have been released on their own recognizance into the USA, those illegal aliens (migrants) can travel to any interior State where they wish to resettle. If a bus company refused to transport such processed and released illegal aliens (migrants) on their buses they could well be sued for national origin discrimination by Biden's Justice Dept.
The problem with New York City openly greeting arriving illegal aliens (migrants) upon arrival is not because the Mayor and the leftist and socialist Democrat government that runs New York City has a problem with the illegal aliens (migrants) coming there in unlimited numbers, the problem is that the local New York City Mayor and his crew want the Federal Government to pick up all the costs of resettling unlimited numbers of illegal aliens (migrants) in that city, by way of the Federal Government sending the Mayor untold billions of federal taxpayers dollars to pick up all the costs of the mass illegal immigration flooding his "sanctuary city". As long as the wimpy Republicans control the Congressional House of Representatives in DC where such money would has to be appropriated it does not look like that will happen, because even the wimpy Republicans recognize that would amount to political suicide for them.

I'm kind of shocked that there isn't some discussion of the obvious, well-settled legal issue here: Jurisdiction to regulate interstate travel resides with the federal government and states cannot adopt statutory burdens on free travel to their state.

What a load of manure. They aren't doing anything at all wrong. Talk to Traitor Joe and Madman Mayorkas about inviting in millions of illegals.

#8 hits the nail on the proverbial head: follow the money.
Squirrelly Adams is mad because his share of Fed money (income taxes to you and me) hasn’t been quick enough, or enough enough.

Just as Texas apparently has no right to stop illegals from flowing into the United States (according to the DOJ and some misguided courts), Mayor Adams should have no right to say who enters New York City. Unless Mayor Adams sues all bus companies for transporting all people into the city, he is discriminating against these individuals based on their national origin and race. Does Mayor Adams hate poor minorities? Why isn't he suing airlines and bus companies who bring illegals to the city during their midnight flights that are sponsored by the federal government?

What a mean person the mayor of New York City must be. He wants the illegals to walk from Texas to the Big Apple.

Since this crosses state lines and involves interstate commerce, shouldn't this be filed in federal court?

Why aren't Republicans suing any NGO's, church organizations, Red Cross, Doctor's without Borders, the Biden administration, impeaching Myorkas. Oh yeah, I forgot, Republicans don't have any lawyers.

This lawsuit is DOA. Since the bus company is engaged in interstate commerce, and the bus company is regulated by the ICC, and the bus company is engaged in legal commerce, there is nothing that Adams and his fascist henchmen can do about it. Given the federal government's actual behavior towards the illegal aliens, they have every right to board a bus to whatever destination it is headed regardless of who is footing the bill.
I love watching these miserable Sweet Ol' Babies drown in the cesspool of their own making. And, while their constituents who did not support them do not deserve the misery, all the rest of them who did vote for these idiots deserve every measure of misery.

Buses registered in any US state can legally carry passengers to any other state. What was illegal about their services except for the illegal alien occupants, which are only seeking a better life and are welcomed into the country by democrat politicians bearing gifts? It will be amusing watching KJP tangle her slippery tongue over this one tomorrow.

The whiny, cry baby mayor of NYC is a girly man. You touted your “sanctuary city” status. Live with it baby!

For what? Accepting a legal charter?
NyC, Denver, etc collectively absorb 10% of the illegals, with the bulk being dealt with in the border states. And they are crying. They voted for Biden. They need to do their fair share.
