Donald Trump has expressed concern that the Supreme Court could back attempts by Colorado and Maine to block him from the Republican primary ballot, according to reports.
Both states have moved to exclude Trump over his role in the January 6, 2021, attack by his supporters on the Capitol.
The states have accepted legal challenges to Trump's nomination that cite Section 3 of the 14th Amendment to the Constitution, which says office holders cannot 'have engaged in insurrection or rebellion'. Trump has privately expressed concerns that the Supreme Court, to which he appointed three conservative justices while president, may side with Colorado and Maine so as not to appear 'political',

The Court will not schedule this case until after the Election. They will never rule on it ever.

There are so many things WRONG with the Colorado decision, if the U.S. Supreme Court let's it stand we have lost the Republic. Justices should worry less about appearing political and more about appearing to be morons.

Pres Trump may have reason for concern as depending on SCOTUS to make things right is always dicey.
Remember when CJ Roberts decided Obmamacare was legal because a fee that wasn't supposed to be a tax was actually a tax.
Like Howie Carr says, in the halls of justice iften thr

Wow. Another unnamed source drops the dirt on Trump. As of right on cue. How many anti Trump unnamed source blockbuster reports have we seen over the years? Special Persecuter Smith leaks like a sieve. Nothing ever comes out of Trumps legal camp. And then this.

I can absolutely say, without a doubt, that President Trump has no such thoughts that he would share with Alice, the DM or the NYT. Please stop posting this nonsense as if there were some value in it.

Taking Trump off of the ballot, in any state is unconstitutional, plain as day. The 14th Amendment does not apply to the President. He takes a completely different oath than officers do. He is not an officer he is the executive. The whole premise is insane.
Trump is running for Federal Office and no state court or "Valley Girl" Sec. of State has control of who appears on the ballot. It is the ultimate in election interference, especially since he has never been charged, tried and convicted of ANYTHING.
Of course I worry too about SCOTUS and their decision, but it's time they put on their big kid underpants and do what is right, along with a scathing take down of Colorado and that little AOC wannabe in Maine.
They are there to protect the Constitution and provide a fair and just decision for Donald Trump and all of the rest of us. That is the LEAST we can expect. The decision should be 9-0, if not, we'll have a window to our future.

Fta “ The states have accepted legal challenges to Trump's nomination that cite Section 3 of the 14th Amendment to the Constitution, which says office holders cannot 'have engaged in insurrection or rebellion'”. Another faulty analysis trying to hang DJT. This amendment does not exclude presidential candidates

Whether the article is true or not any of us should be concerned given the way the SC punted when it had opportunity to set things right in the 2016 election in the face of all the unconstitutional procedures on the public record in various states.

If the SCOTUS wants to aid in the beginning of a real insurrection this would make a good start.

If the three judges vote to allow Trump to be removed from the Colorado ballot, that will be a political decision whether they like it or not.

If the US Supreme Court wimps out on this issue, every wimpy Republican candidate for high office in the future will be subject to some Democrat Judge or bureaucrat blocking him or her from running in future elections.

If the red state GOP had any balls (at this point even the Hubble Telescope couldn't find any), they'd would begin banning Biden from running in their states.
