Rudy Giuliani, former President Donald Trump's onetime legal strategist who led efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election, has filed for bankruptcy. The news comes less than a week after the former New York City mayor was ordered to pay $148 million to two Georgia election workers he defamed by falsely claiming they colluded to steal the election. Giuliani filed for Chapter 11 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in the Southern District of New York, listing estimated assets of between $1 million and $10 million and estimated liabilities of $100 million to $500 million.
