President Joe Biden admitted to donors on Tuesday that he might not be running for a second term if Donald Trump were not the likely Republican candidate.
The 81-year-old told supporters at a fundraising event outside Boston that the former president was a grave threat to democracy.
'If Trump wasn’t running, I'm not sure I’d be running,' he said.'But we cannot let him win for the sake of our country.'
However, Biden's approval ratings are underwater and a string of polls suggest he could lose to Trump.

I'm sensing this is a trial balloon to see if there might be a deal to be made with Trump.
In exchange for all of his legal cases being dismissed, he won't run and neither will Joe.
Likely meaning their cases aren't as strong as they hoped, particularly with the case down in Florida where Jack Smith has to release some files they fought hard to keep sealed, to the defendant.
And now Fani Willis is being exposed for colluding with the J6 committee, and there is a separate lawsuit from 2017 working it's why through the Courts that's exposing significant election problems.

Biden needs to run to, you know, save democracy. His version anyway.

Yeah, Vegetable, blame it on Trump. Might as well, everything else is blamed on him.
Remember the days when everything was blamed on Bush?

If Trump weren’t running and the Republicans were grooming a pro-Establishment rino, the Establishment would have left Big Bidet on the ash heap he was on when they plucked him up to be pResident smokescreen for them.

Ahhh. So that seals it. Joe is told he is running again, so Obama can get his 4th term.

2024: Trump vs the Turnip 2. What Biden means is that he needs to run and get reelected because that’s his path to staying out of jail along with a host of other scoundrels. If Michelle runs it’s for the same reason.

FJB. We do not need to worry about Trump destroying democracy as FJB and his goons have already done that, and they did a good job. Except it is a Republic. So we still have hope it can be put back together again.

This is what is so sad and frustrating about politics or leadership. It becomes self-serving and putting America's interest at heart seems to be the last thing happening.

One more thought. The fact that Joe Biden doesn't want God part of his leadership speaks volumes, too.

In a certain sense, wouldn't this be like Biden holding his own campaign hostage until certain demands are met (Trump doesn't run)? Is he saying that voters who are concerned/alarmed about his cognitive decline as President have only ONE remedy ---stop Trump first and Joe will quietly shuffle away. The easiest way to guarantee that is to use the legal system because we all know Trump won't drop out on his own. Does Joe know something that we don't?

Biden talks like he is a viable candidate but he hasn't been able to handle the job since January 6th, 2021. Please stay in the race, Joe, and continue to be the 500 lb anchor on the democrats' 200 lb leaking boat.

Biden is a joke. After a couple of sentences, without a teleprompter, it is clear that Biden would not know which way is up!
