Donald Trump's ambitious proposals for sweeping federal actions if he wins a second term have left some wondering if the era of the small-government conservative has ended. In campaign videos and social media posts, Trump has laid out what he calls Agenda47, his dramatic vison for a federal government more active in matters usually left to the states. He proposes building 10 'freedom cities' featuring flying cars on federal land, as well as a free national 'American Academy' that bans 'wokeness or jihadism,' funded by punitive levies on private universities.

These are not policies that will help him win a general election. They are more of a distraction that the liberal media will exploit.

Ok, first of all, this is DM, so the spin is suspicious. Second, according to this article he isn’t suggesting all colleges and universities for free. He is proposing an online, fully-funded American University that promotes the founding principles of the country. Third, if he is proposing big government ideas, the left should be ecstatic. And last, I am onboard with everything I read. Way to be bold, Mr. President. I have no doubt that, if we could keep your enemies in check, you could accomplish all of this.

There is a long screed whining about why Trump is evil in the NYT yesterday. The key giveaway - the author is afraid that Trump will "uproot the core principles of American governance". In plain English - Private grazing pastures which we have so carefully constructed since the New Deal will be ripped up and power will be returned to the voters who own the country.

Don't fall for the horsemanure "flying cars" baloney. The nutball "inventors" (scammers) have been promising flying cars since the 1920s. Molt Taylor, in the 1950s actually built and got FAA certified a flying car, and it was sold in small numbers, probably around a dozen or so. Bob Cummings, of the eponymous TV show owned one and there was a short clip of it flying by in the intro to the 1950s TV comedy show. I have seen one fly, and closely examined one. NONE of the dozens of other "flying cars" have gone beyond perhaps one scary prototype, and only a few of those ever lifted off the ground. NONE reached any kind of production, or FAA approval. Taylors Aerocar, was by far the most successful, and even by the standards of the 1950s was poor car and a poor aircraft. NOT happening, just like EVs for all and self-driving cars - pure futurist hype and BS.

Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin warned at the Reagan National Defense Forum on Saturday that Israel could face “strategic defeat” if it was not more careful about how it fought Hamas, because more Palestinians might be driven to support the terrorist group . (X Video) Austin seemed not to know that the vast majority of Palestinians already support Hamas, at least in one recent opinion poll. A wartime poll of Gaza and West Bank residents last month by Birzeit University’s Arab World for Research & Development (AWRAD) found that “the majority of (59%) strongly supported or (16%) supported to some extent the October 7 attacks carried by the Hamas-led factions.”

A survivor of the October 7 massacre has told of the unfathomable atrocities he witnessed on the dreaded day as Hamas terrorists raped, tortured and killed young, innocent women. Yoni Saadon, 39, who survived the Supernova peace festival by hiding under dead bodies, now wakes at night in anguish to the faces of the fallen women, including one with 'the face of an angel'. On her MSNBC show on Saturday, Katie Phang's guest, Molly Jong-Fast of Vanity Fair, citing NYU journalism professor Jay Rosen, said that journalists, instead of writing stories about polls, should focus instead on the "stakes" of the election. And just what are those "stakes?" According to Rosen, the stakes are nothing less than "the consequences for American democracy." A dominant theme in the liberal media, as we have noted here

The EU has something called End-of-life vehicles directive, and they are looking to expand this to become so draconian that it reminds of something that would have happened in the Communist Soviet Union. A new set of criteria will be established that will decide whether you will be allowed to keep your car. If your car does not meet the criteria, the EU will seize your car and scrap it.
