Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said there was no deal yet to secure the release of some 240 hostages held by Hamas “as of now,” and dismissed “a lot of incorrect reports” in recent days about imminent agreements to free at least some of the hostages. In a lengthy Saturday evening press conference, Netanyahu said that if a deal emerges, the Israeli public will be updated. The Washington Post reported Saturday that Israel, the United States and Hamas were “close” to an agreement that would free dozens of women and children held hostage in Gaza in exchange for a five-day pause in hostilities.

Leave Israel alone and let them do what they need to do. If not this will happen again and again. Hamas said they will not stop. I would not trust FJB to successfully make a box of Stove Top Stuffing let alone give me advice on how to keep my country safe. He has proven that he cannot do much of anything without screwing it up.

Any deal should include ALL the hostages. Once they are free, Israel should proceed to destroy Hamas. Unconditional surrender is the deal.

Officials in Oregon are considering reversing key provisions of a 2021 liberal experiment to decriminalize heroin and fentanyl, The Telegraph reported. The rationale behind the original initiative, called Measure 110, was that decriminalizing hard drugs would make access to treatment easier for addicts, according to The Telegraph. Currently, support for Measure 110 in Oregon, the first state to take the step of decriminalizing hard drugs, appears to be waning, according to the outlet. Whereas Measure 110 was backed by 58 percent of voters in November 2020, a recent Emerson College poll revealed that public opinion has swung drastically, with 56 percent of voters now saying they would back a repeal,

President Donald Trump scored a judicial win on Thursday when an appeals court judge temporarily lifted a gag order preventing him from criticizing court personnel and the prosecutors in his New York civil fraud case. The gag order was originally imposed by Judge Arthur Engoron after Trump posted an image of his primary clerk, calling her "Schumer's girlfriend." Judge David Friedman curtailed the restrictions while the appellate process plays out, suggesting it ran afoul of Trump's First Amendment rights, the Associated Press reported. The decision followed an emergency hearing on Thursday after Trump's legal team challenged the gag order the evening prior.

People might pay the extra if they were getting something better in performance terms, but range anxiety and the lack of convenient recharging infrastructure remain formidable hurdles. The order from border chief Alejandro Mayorkas directs border guards to ignore the biological distinction between the two complementary sexes.
