Good. Republicans in other states should follow suit. You want to shut a lot of this down? Shut off the money. Politico reports: Florida Republicans target scholarships, grants for students supporting Hamas. Florida college students who “promote” Hamas and other designated terrorist organizations could have their scholarships, grants and other benefits yanked from them under a new bill proposed Wednesday by Republican lawmakers.[Snip]Further, colleges and universities under the legislation would be required to report students who promote any terrorist organizations to the Student and Exchange Visitor Program of the United States Department of Homeland Security.

Perhaps fine universities such as Oberlin would be willing to offer these fine leftist students a full ride. Just keep them away from upstanding local businesses like Gibsons Bakery.

Good and send them back to wherever they came from, and if they are homegrown expell them.

Non-citizens do not have free speech rights in our country. It's that simple.

Scholarships couldn't possibly be awarded because these morons are smart so they must be athletic or affirmative action in nature.

Sure, I get the concept of fighting back using the "new rules" as established by the left. But we will never out left the left, and the non-left will be the net loser when ideology purity tests are applied to the access to government directed grants and scholarships. The answer is, that government shouldn't be involved to begin with because every ounce of power and control they are handed, will be corrupted. Same goes for tax breaks subsidies, any manner in which the government takes from the people and hands back to the people in a way that suits the agenda of those in power. If we focus on attempting to use that process to suit our agenda, only occasional short term wins are possible while we contribute the corruption of any system intended to protect individual rights and liberty.

Go a step further and put these hamas-loving student drones into the workforce working the drive-up windows at your local McDonald's. And see how fast they can pay off their student loans. Oops, forgot, biden the cheater said they don't have to.

I would love to see ALL Colleges shut down "Clubs" or "Groups" that are allowed to meet on College Campuses. That includes BLM and Others. They are there to Learn! And, Get back to what the Professors are supposed to teach. If they are straying into Politics, fire them! College Students today come out of Schools as different People they were when they went in. Not in a Good way! If My Kids were that age now, I would think hard and long about sending them for a College Education and probably send them on their way to get Job that would take them up the Ladder without College! I love my kids too much to let a College change them into people who might hate me when they get out of College!

As much as I have contempt and am extremely angry at these so-called students, I think this is a terrible idea. DeSantis has a heavy Republican majority in the State Legislature and can pretty much pass any law he wants. Since he’s a conservative, most of his agenda has voter approval. These tables can be turned, including in other States. Speech should never be such down or punished by the Government, even when it’s coming from a hateful ideology. Democrats can play this game too.

Cut off every penny to any uni or college that tolerates pro-Hamas demonstrations, and don't be fooled by calling them "pro-Palestinian." NO MONEY to any school tolerating this treasonous behavior.

Thisis an absolutely horrible idea if the intention it so apply it to American citizens. Foreign students? Hey they're guests and can be sent packing for being bad guests. But American students have the constitutional rights to both hold unpopular and repugnant opinions as well as to express those opinions. First they come for the J6 folks, then the hamas supporters, then Trump supporters, then anyone expressing any opinion on a constantly changing list of wrong-thought opinions generated by an AI program somewhere.

Additionally, every University that has a Marxist Faculty should be barred from any $$ for "Research", Grants, Matching $ of Contributions, Student Loans...in other words, ANY financial support they now receive from OUR POCKETS via the Criminal democrats bills in congress or Executive handouts!

This is a terrible idea. College campuses have always been places where you could hear some very extreme ideas and their voices should not be shut down. I went to a small Catholic college in the early 70's and there were a couple students who said they were communists. The majority of us thought they were weird but no one said they should be silenced. Pushing violence or as a foreign student would be a different story. Just because the left wants to silence speech doesn't mean that conservatives should follow suit.

#15 and #17, that ship has already sailed. They are coming for you anyway. You need to shift to an offensive defense, rather than simply sitting back and waiting for the storm to pass. Moreover, university life has passed far beyond the stage of tol of unpopular ideas to overwhelming indoctrination, and — for the few who resist — academic browbeating, physical intimidation and outright attacks. Friendly Persuasion is a thing of the past. When the fire gets big enough, you need to fight it with something besides water. Defunding your avowed enemies is a pretty mild step. Besides — and the point bears repeating — refusing to fund intolerance is not the same as banning it. If they want to support torturing murderous rapists, they should do so on their own dime, without forcing taxpayers to subsidize them. [Plus, would you not love to be a fly on the wall when Kevin or Karen have to explain to their parents why they lost their financial boon and now Mom and Dad have to foot the full sticker price for their indoctrination, er, education?]

Note: I miss an editing option here. To be clearer, I should have reversed “torturing” and “murderous.” Not that I don’t think the torture of murderous rapists is a good idea, but the campus Hamasniks would not concur - the only ones they intend to torture are us. [And Heterosexual Jews — if you have seen the clip you know — but I digress.] The academy’s unprincipled moral midgets support the animals who (a) tortured (b) kidnapped (c) raped (d) and murdered with glee, and it’s an extraordinary mild ask to not have to subsidize them with public funds.
