Report: Israeli Airstrike on Jabaliya
Kills Terrorists, Causes Underground Tunnel Collapse

An Israeli airstrike on Hamas targets Tuesday who had taken over civilian buildings in the northern Gaza Strip appears to have killed several terrorists — and caused underground tunnels to collapse, apparently expanding the initial damage caused by the strike. News reports Tuesday claimed, citing Hamas’s notorious health ministry, that 400 people had been killed and wounded in an airstrike on the Jabaliya neighborhood in Gaza, known officially as a “refugee camp,” though it consists of multi-story buildings. Hamas later downgraded the estimated number of casualties to 200 — 50 dead, it said, and 150 wounded. Photos showed a scene of collapsed buildings,

FTA: "Hamas later downgraded the estimated number of casualties to 200 — 50 dead, it said, and 150 wounded. Photos showed a scene of collapsed buildings, with reports apparently from residents that some buildings fell into sinkholes that emerged afterwards." The downgrade was from their initial reports to the world of 400 dead. Who cares about corrections? It is the initial reports and first tweets that make the headlines and the important impressions on their useful idiots in the press and on the streets. The "sinkholes" are the tunnels and underground "infrastructure" that enable the Hamas terrorists to move safely between locations, while their "innocents" are expected to live out their lives above ground. FTA: "The IDF has repeatedly warned residents of the northern Gaza Strip, where Jabaliya is situated, to evacuate southwards. Hamas has evidently tried to prevent that evacuation, including by reportedly blocking roads and even shooting at those trying to leave." And yet these same people voted for Hamas to lead them. Go figure.

I have a hard time accepting the term "Camp", refugees or no...for any city with 5-6 story buildings, underground infrastructure, including all modern utilities, paved streets laid out in a modern grid with plenty of offstreet parking, parks, sports fields, schools, mosques, admin offices, shopping...the only Tents are for sale in the stores strictly for recreation. Nothing about the area is Temporary, or at least wasn't until they used it for terror HQ. Perhaps it is called a refugee "Camp" because of some wording attached to UN Funding rules? Rules that would otherwise forbid funding of permanent settlements/cities/infrastructure??

Muslims have a term for people killed "accidentally" by them or non-combatants killed by the enemy: inadvertent martyrs. I used to know the arabic word for this, but memory fades.

Hamas Leader Ismail Haniyeh, from the comfort of his luxury home in Qatar: "We need the blood of women, children, and the elderly of Gaza... so as to awaken our revolutionary spirit." Hamas official Abu Marzouk: “The tunnels in Gaza were built to protect Hamas fighters, not civilians. Protecting Gaza civilians is the responsibility of the UN and Israel.”

A collapse of ground after an airstrike would indicate the destruction of some Hamas tunnels. So it appears that the IDF hit the 10 ring on this strike. Advantage? Burial of Hamas operatives becomes superfluous; they're already buried.

Former congressman Adam Kinzinger has a new book out for Halloween titled Renegade. This implies he’s a daring rebel against Republicans, instead of simply switching parties. In some dictionaries, “renegade” is defined as “a person who abandons a cause or organization, usually without right,” like a “mutineer.” That fits. When asked by liberal interviewers, Kinzinger volunteers he voted for Democrats in the midterms and will vote for Biden and Democrats in 2024. He says it’s a simple decision between democracy (Democrats) or authoritarianism (Republicans). That fits the Democrat narrative perfectly. He'll claim he's still a Republican.

Denver— The effort to ban former President Donald Trump from the ballot under the Constitution’s “insurrection clause” turned to distant history on Wednesday, when a law professor testified about how the post-Civil War provision was indeed intended to apply to presidential candidates. Gerard Magliocca, of Indiana University, said there was scant scholarship on Section Three of the 14th Amendment when he began researching it in late 2020. He testified that he uncovered evidence in 150-year-old court rulings, congressional testimony and presidential executive orders that it applied to presidents and to those who simply encouraged an insurrection rather than physically participated in one.
