Natalee Holloway's mother has said her case is finally solved after Joran van der Sloot today admitted bludgeoning the teen to death on a beach with a cinder block and then dumping her body in the water - 18 years after she went missing.
Van Der Sloot, 36, was sentenced to 20 years in prison in Birmingham, Alabama, for extortion and wire fraud as part of a plea deal in which he agreed to come clean about how he killed the recent high school graduate on the Caribbean island of Aruba in 2005.
The confession came after he put Natalee's parents through torment by sending them chilling emails offering to tell them

If I were Natalee Holloway's father, brother, or sister, I'd meet that gentleman as he was released from prison. The rest of the story would have something to do with a life sentence, but at least Van Der Sloot would have received his just reward..

20 years runs to 2044. In the interim, sending him back to Peru to serve the rest of his 28-year sentence there through 2038. More likely to meet an early demise in one of those prisons. But, Mom, the question has always been: Aruba? Why not Fort Walton Beach? Daytona, maybe?

From what I remember of this class trip, it was the class that chose Aruba for the trip.

Pretty light sentence for such a heinous crime. Not wanting to blame the victim, but what parent in their right mind allows an 18 year-old female to go off on her own to Aruba or any other far away place without some accompanying adult?
Young women these days seem to think they are bullet proof and can defend against anything. But look at all the male athletes masquerading as women who clean their clocks in college sports. As a 20 year-old, testosterone-fired young guy serving in Vietnam I thought I would be bullet proof, too. The machinegun slug that caught me did not see things the same way. And I was well-equipped to fight back!

Are there always concrete blocks laying around on beaches?

Anyone, let a pretty, girl that goes to another country and thinks she is safe going off alone for a romantic interlude may not have been blessed common sense. I’m sorry that she’s gone but…

He said he gave his heart to Jesus, if that is true, he should demand they put him to death for those crimes of murder for that's what the Bible says should be done. “Whoever sheds man’s blood,
By man his blood shall be shed;
For in the image of God
He made man." Genesis 9:6.

Stop blaming this girl and stop blaming the parents. She was very young and probably under the influence. She made a mistake in judgment. Think about yourselves at eighteen I shudder at the things I did.

Send him back to Peru ASAP. Their prisons are probably not as nice as in the US.

Sharks clean up the mess effectively.
Too bad they can't give this piece of manure the exact same treatment.

When I was 18, back then, I too was naive. My parents would have had the wherewithal to say no, you aren’t able to do this, to go to a foreign country. Period.

No mention of his father’s involvement in disposing the body. Guess he hasn’t found that much of Jesus.

Eighteen year old girls are naive and vulnerable. They make dumb decisions but are usually allowed to live, learn and mature. In today’s licentious world young woman are encouraged to ignore their natural fears and modesty, participate in risky pursuits with strange men and pretend they’re thrilled about it. I’ve visited Aruba and it is a civilized and low crime island, generally much safer than, say, Jamaica. Parents need not have been alarmed. Van der Sloot is a monster and anomaly and should pay with a lifetime in custody. Life in a hellhole prison is probably worse than death. Plus, he does look like hell.

Serial killer Joran van der Sloot says he killed her by himself by hitting her with a cinder block. He dragged her body to the ocean and her body or
clues to her death have never been found. Sorry, I don't buy it. Even sharks leave clues ...like clothes. Plus bodies don't sink...they float. ..Think
Laci Petterson in SF Bay.

Sharks and barracudas, #18, would make short work of the body. And once a body is dismembered, so the internal organs can't hold air, they do not float, they sink. And warm water - lots more fishes to clean up the mess.

I hope he did find Jesus. He is going to need Him.
Send him back to Peru to finish his nearly lifelong sentence.
If he is still alive at the end of it, ship him back to the Alabama jail.
