Nearly 50 years ago, the Concorde's first, non-stop transatlantic flight was the stuff of science fiction. The sleek, supersonic, 203-foot tailless bird with a downturned nose scorched across the ocean and cast a shock wave over the water implying the promise of a new age of modern travel. It seemed like a beginning. It turned out to be an end. On September 26, 1973, the Concorde's sprint from Washington D.C. to Paris took three and-a-half hours. Today's Boeings cover that distance in more than twice that time. In 1969, four years earlier, American men landed on the Moon in another achievement we can't seem to match these days.

This article aptly describes the metastasizing of rottenness begun since Joseph Robinette Biden and his handlers entered the White House. The wiggling bacteria of evil started with Obama, held at bay by President Trump, but we were then re-infected by woke Democrats and the MSM. Lawsuits against stolen elections, an antibiotic you might say, are promptly euthanized by courts.

The Concorde stopped flying because it wasn't cost effective. Just because we can do something doesn't mean we should. We can build a Concorde today. It would still be cost inefficient.

Couldn't read the original but did he mention the USA and hi-speed rail? Or should I say the USA and the hi-speed rail we don't have. Or that building a nuclear plant takes twenty years? Or should I say, it takes twenty years if you ever get the permits to build it at all? And the new reservoirs that are clearly needed and don't get built at all.

Stop talking nonsense, DMUK. Okay, I realize that's the only way you can make money, by appealing to the same crowd that watches MSDNC. What's the point in paying three thousand bucks to whiz across the Atlantic if you are forced to spend hours on each end of your flight dealing with rude airport personnel, AA TSA hires and having your shoes, shampoo and pocket change displayed for perusal and approval? As for going to the moon, we were only going to use it for military bases.

When excellence no longer comes with rewards, you will no longer get excellence. Do more at work, get more dumped on you with no raise in pay. And you cant help but notice the lazy ones keep their jobs at the same rate of pay as you. Do well at school and get the same diploma as the kid who did nothing or cheated. Invent something good and make money? The communists will confiscate it so someone who didnt invent anything can get his "fair share". And its only getting worse. Atlas Shrugged may have been right. It cant be fixed. It must fall into the dung heap of history of the weight of its own corruption and mediocrity. Those who survive can start something better.

The Concorde was not an American innovation. It was a French-British collaboration. But the point still stands. In fact, the Democrats would like to outlaw cars and force everyone to ride bikes (themselves excluded, of course).

The National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) is being sued to turn over approximately 5,400 emails connected to then-Vice President Joe Biden’s pseudonym accounts to forward government information and business with his son, Hunter Biden, and others. Southeastern Legal Foundation (SLF) filed a federal lawsuit against the agency on Monday after NARA officials confirmed with other sources that Biden used three personal pseudonym email accounts under the names Robin Ware, Robert L. Peters, and JRB Ware but has since “dragged its feet and still has not produced a single email,” the law group said in a news release.

Archer told members of the House Oversight Committee Hunter called his father on speakerphone while surrounded by his foreign business associates on over twenty occasions. Archer also alleged the Biden family “brand” protected Ukrainian energy company Burisma from legal scrutiny. “We know from a Hunter Biden associate now that he sold the appearance of access to then-Vice President Biden. Are you confident that he had stopped doing that?” Doocy asked.

Here we go again— the Biden Administration has plans to roll out a new COVID-19 vaccine this fall, requiring Americans to get another jab. Despite declaring earlier this year that COVID is no longer a threat, President Joe Biden said his administration will "likely" recommend that all Americans receive the updated booster, including children. Over the weekend, the president told reporters that he plans to ask Congress for additional funds to develop a new vaccine, adding that he may force everyone to take it whether they previously received the initial vaccine. Rome—Pope Francis has blasted the “backwardness” of some conservatives in the U.S. Catholic Church, saying they have replaced faith with ideology and that a correct understanding of Catholic doctrine allows for change over time. Francis’ comments were an acknowledgment of the divisions in the U.S. Catholic Church, which has been split between progressives and conservatives who long found support in the doctrinaire papacies of St. John Paul II and Benedict XVI, particularly on issues of abortion and same-sex marriage. Many conservatives have blasted Francis’ emphasis instead on social justice issues such as the environment and the poor, while also branding as heretical his opening to letting divorced and civilly remarried

A Portuguese Jesuit told Francis that he struggled during a recent sabbatical year in the U.S. after coming across many Catholics, including bishops, who were critical of Francis’s papacy and today’s Jesuits, at which point

The Democrats and the media run a constant clown show, but the Republicans play along as useless puppets, willfully participating in a system designed to destroy them. The Republican party is allowing itself to be rigged by playing by the rules of an old system that no longer exists. The Democrats, bureaucracy, and media are vicious apparatchiks.
