Adams warns Biden’s inaction on migrant
crisis will ‘decimate’ NYC

Mayor Eric Adams issued a dire warning to President Biden, cautioning that the lack of federal funding to help the migrant crisis will eventually “decimate” the Big Apple — which serves as the “economic engine” of the country. Adams slammed border states for creating a “funnel” to New York on “CBS Mornings” Thursday, saying, “New York City is the economic engine of this entire state and country. If you decimate this city, you’re going to decimate the foundation of what’s happening.” That foundation finally began to crumble earlier this month as dozens of migrants were left sleeping on the streets of Midtown outside the intake center at the Roosevelt Hotel

It still doesn't occur to Hizzoner that if illegal immigrants were stopped at the border the problem would never had materialized. Big city Dems are perfectly happy if Texas has to absorb the tsunami of aliens.

Decimate means to reduce by one tenth. The word Adams should be using is destroy, as more and more illegals into New York will destroy the city.

Ahhhh...Addams is bumping HARD up against the nefarious "Replacement Theory", long claimed by democrats to be a fear inducing , right wing, dog whistle, fallacy.(Dems have claimed repubs are racist in that they think it is hispanics replacing whites, in fact it is being implemented by dems to replace blacks as the dominant minority group because, though they have been able to take them for "granted" as a uniform voting block, they are "Problematic", costly and ungovernable, Dems hope migrant Hispanics already used to socialist Govt, but harder working, easier to educate and better behaved will also vote en-mass for them)

Your party invited the world in at the Democrat Presidential Debate. Don't blame the border states for not owning the entire mess your party created. Can't handle the job? Resign. Better yet, appoint a conservative as your vice mayor and then resign.

Forget decimating NYC, it was a sh** hole before the migrants, how about decimating the country. Besides every communist democrat knew this was coming. All of their squakking is nothing more than a cover for what they already knew. Now they'll all ask for taxpayer cash to pay for these illegals and most of it will be stolen. Just another money laundering scam by democrats. Got it

Damn Eric: When you were elected you were all for open borders, and inviting to the massive invasion at the border, but now that it's come home you are crying. I suppose you failed to see that the Democrat plot in this was to replace the leading minority race with another race. A race that will eventually be a majority.

Instead of begging for taxpayer dollars to provide free services to illegal immigrants, stop taking care of them. Let them learn what it means to be illegal. Band together with your liberal sanctuary city brethren and force Biden to close the border. Whining isn’t going to work.

I no longer care what happens in blue/sanctuary cities. I'll take care of me and mine - thank you. Yes, another failed city like Detroit or NYC would be devastating but I don't see anything happening on the front lines at City Hall nor elsewhere. New Yorkers will riot in Washington Square park over a stupid video game but where are they when illegals are 'housed' in their schools and playgrounds? They voted for the leadership they deserve.

The expenditures are the largest from the Sanders campaign to any entity this election cycle. The senator's wife, Jane O'Meara Sanders, and stepson, David Driscoll, co-established the Sanders Institute in 2017 to act as a think tank to promote progressive voices, The Washington Post wrote at its launch.
