Washington- Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell has repeatedly said he is “fine” since he froze up midsentence during a press conference on Wednesday. And now his office is trying to tamp down speculation that he might not fill out his term as leader because of his health.
In a statement, his office said McConnell appreciates the continued support of his colleagues and “plans to serve his full term in the job they overwhelmingly elected him to do.”
The statement, first reported by Politico, comes after McConnell, 81, has suffered health problems in recent months. At his weekly press conference, he froze and stared vacantly for about 20 seconds before

Old, corrupt and traitorous. A great combination for a leader in the most embarrassing elected body in world history.
Go away Mitch. Far, far away.

I'll cut him some slack. Decades ago there was a fad on college campuses know as "streaking." When an attractive girl ran by in her birthday suit my mind was totally forged for 30 seconds. All he needs is an assistant to tell him whether to say yea or nay.

So, you don't know where you are and can't remember what you were saying. Not to worry , we know that you know that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. You're doing a Mr Potato Head tribute. .

He plans to serve ("himself" is left unspoken). As long as there are millions available for the taking, Mitch will be there to scoop them up. He cares not for what he may have to do to "earn" them or who is hurt in the process. It's all about you, Mitch!! At what point will you say you've made enough money? I'll bet never. Read Proverbs 1:19 sometime; it warns those who've profited from ill gotten gains. From what happened to you this week, that time is approaching.....

I'm going to say it: The only way that these disgusting bastids will leave is stone cold dead. They are horrible human beings who have never "served" anyone or anything but themselves. I most certainly hope that God has a tally sheet on them. His Will Be Done.

Mitch stays in because Kentucky Republicans keep him in office to do the incredible damage that he does. His despicable fellow Senators protect him and get rich off doing so. God help them and those who stay silent and go along. They are Helping Democrats destroy the USA.

Too much CCP grift via wifey and her ties to CCP big wheels. As long as Kentuckians believe he’s bringing pork or whatever he will be re-elected.

The only way Mitch will leave is in a box or a body bag. He can hang on as long as possible, but ultimately a higher authority has the final word.

So... while Mitch struggles to hang on to his sinecure, the sharks around him maneuver. Wolves in a pack, they know the Alpha's days are numbered.
Did you see how Barrasso and Thune stepped in for damage control?
Both, poster children for the label "RINO". And wanting Mitch's position. So much more power, so much more money.
Tom Cotton?
Sorry bud.
It's a powerful club. And you're not in it.

Of course he does. And even if he dies, the deep state will animate his corpse or have a double impersonating him, he is so important in keeping the GOP from being any real challenge to the Democrat agenda.

He still has 3-1/2 years left in his term. I wouldn't bet the house on him staying to the bitter end.

The ONE and ONLY thing that McConnell did for the Country and not his pocketbook was the hold up of Obama's Judicial Appointments. For that I am grateful, Merrick Garland is not on the Court. Everything else IMHO he has done to protect his Chinese investments to enrich himself and his "Honeytrap" wife.

In a world which has made people jaded, skeptical and unbelieving, I rather doubt he will finish his term before he becomes as Rush Limbaugh used to say "room temperature".....
Which corrupt individual will go first? The Vegetable or the Head RINO?
Note well all the corrupt pols who stand with him at press conferences and start your brackets-- my wager is on "Big John" Cornyn--
