President Biden should find ways to defy the rulings of "MAGA justices" for their "gravely mistaken" constitutional interpretations, university professors urged in a letter on Wednesday. Harvard law professor Mark Tushnet and San Francisco State University political scientist Aaron Belkin penned "An Open Letter to the Biden Administration on Popular Constitutionalism" to respond to what Biden has called "not a normal court" following high-profile cases.
"We urge President Biden to restrain MAGA justices immediately by announcing that if and when they issue rulings that are based on gravely mistaken interpretations of the Constitution that undermine our most fundamental commitments, the Administration will be guided by its own constitutional interpretations," they wrote.

How about we burn the "professors" at the stake? If they think that laws don't mean anything, and you can just do what you want.....then that's what I want, should be OK, right?

A classic case of people who are educated into imbecility. People like that got Obama to wantonly violate the Constitution's separation of powers (and more than once, if I recall correctly .

If Joey does, then he can declare himself a "dictator." Which he is anyway.

Many of our problems could be solved with the absence of professors like these two knuckleheads. What they are suggesting goes against the very foundation of our government. Three equal branches of government means you cannot exalt one above another. Regardless of what they want, it is wrong. Doing so would dismantle the very ethos of the government. As much as they would like, this is not a dictatorship. I bet they would be howling mad if anyone made such a suggestion to President Trump when he was in office. Their haughty notion that they can upset the balance of power in this country is indicative of the philosophy that drives this heinous party, the end justifies the means. These people truly are tyrants.

These are the people teaching law to our youth.
They are saying ignore the law, ignore the Constitution.
They should be removed from any teaching profession.

Democrats, even supposedly well educated Democrats, are like undisciplined toddlers. When they don't get their way they yell and kick and scream, demanding any action, no matter how ridiculous, to fulfill their desires.
These toddlers should NOT be teaching law (or their version of it.) In fact they should not be teaching students anything.

Dear Professors, then your don't mind when future conservative Presidents also ignore the rulings of Liberal Supreme Courts. Thank you very much.

I fear the Jan 6th rally in DC was just a tiny taste of what can be expected if the idiots in this administration don't cool it with Trump.

The Supreme Court is the only court specifically addressed in the Constitution, Article III's top dog, as it were. Like the president is over the Executive Branch, the Supreme Court is supreme with regard to the machinations of the co-equal Judicial Branch. If the Constitution is to be discarded due to upset progressive sensibilities, then what would stop irate Conservatives from eliminating with prejudice, those emotionally distraught progressives. Trifle with the Constitution it might just blow up in your face.

So if the Supreme Court rules that citizens cannot rid the country of useless members of academia, I can ignore them?

Dear professors, with all due respect, there’s no need to encourage Biden to ignore the law. That’s one of the few things he excels at.
