Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) confirmed he would support former President Donald Trump — or any other Republican presidential candidate — should he lose the 2024 primary contest. “I am going to support the Republican nominee,” DeSantis told Wisconsin Right Now podcast when asked if he would support Trump.“At the end of the day, you go through these processes and voters make a decision and you live with it,” DeSantis added. (Tweet) With the first Republican primary contest six months away, Trump is the clear frontrunner. A June Harvard poll found that Trump led DeSantis by a margin of 67 to 33 percent,

Wise move, Gov. And DeSantis knows that, under the 12th amendment, it is difficult if not impossible to elect a President and Vice President from the same state. Unless Pres. Trump wants to change his state of residency away from Florida, DeSantis is out. Basically, Ron needs to think of 2024 as a back up in case Trump can't serve otherwise get ready for 2028. When it's probably gonna be him against Gov. Brylcream and the French Laundry crowd.

He had no political future until he did this. Wisconsin right now is a very coordinated Rove-Ryan-Vos and hence not fond of Trump but likes the money and celebrity status that comes from being the investigative journal of the Wisconsin republicans site.

Few places along our 2,000-mile southern border with Mexico more perfectly illustrate America's utterly dysfunctional immigration policy than a remote, private pecan farm in Eagle Pass, Texas. At this sprawling ranch - owned by Hugo and Magaly Urbina – on the banks of the Rio Grande, President Joe Biden's federal Border Patrol agents are locked in a bizarre daily struggle with Texas Governor Greg Abbott's Department of Public Safety (DPS). Under a simple white tent on the farm, U.S. Border Patrol agents are processing illegal migrants and then transporting them by bus to a nearby brick-and-mortar facility.

Prosecutorial overreach is not uncommon in high-profile cases. The prosecutors pile on the charges to frighten defendants with the prospect of long prison terms so they plead out. The state also hopes to throw enough charges against the wall to see what sticks. But the danger of overreach is that a judge may want to smack a prosecutor down for bringing unnecessary charges. Such is the case in the January 6 prosecutions. One of the rioters, Edward Lang, is facing 11 charges and pleaded not guilty to all of them. But a district court judge threw out the charges relating to “obstruction of an official proceeding” concerning Lang

Top donors are reportedly considering moving from supporting Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis to South Carolina Sen. Thanks to pre-emptive presidential pardons, Joe knows that he, Hunter, and the family will never have to answer for any of their alleged egregious criminality.
