Trump’s Greatest Triumph: A Court That

Original Article

The Supreme Court handed down three major decisions this week, limiting an executive order that fabricated presidential authorization to forgive billions of dollars in school loans; denying governmental authority to compel people to create works that violate their free speech and freedom of religion; and prohibiting schools from considering the race of applicants in admissions in public and private institutions. There are two very good summaries of these three cases, here on AT by Andrea Widberg and in Real Clear Politics by Professor Charles Lipson. Dissents by justices Elena Kagan, Sonia Sotomayor, and Ketanji Brown Jackson, were so badly written and reasoned

The Liberal idea that colleges and universities study body should represent the racial mix of society is naive, to say the least. "The best and the brightest" should be the standard! DUH!

All Supreme Court Justices should be Constitutional lawyers! And they should rule by following our constitution. Party affiliation should not matter, but it does! We know the 3 justices that are on the court are absolutely not qualified.

Democrats appear to always choose the worst as candidates, whether it be SCOTUS, the Cabinet, or for president. The plan seems to be to cause the downfall of this amazing and wonderful country... so far it is working. The rest of the world appears to concur with Obama that the USA is great, so it let's fundamentally (that's Islam) change it. Oh, woe!

Trump is still beating them at their own game even from outside the government. His SCOTUS choices beat the deadwood put there by both Obama and Biden and the Constitution wins for once. Choosing justices based on skin color, sexual preference and loony left ideology is obviously not a winning idea because the stupid shines right through.

I guarantee that if Mittens or John McLame had been the president who nominated Brett Kavanaugh, his nomination would have been withdrawn as soon as Christine Blasey Ford opened her mouth. Only Trump had to fortitude to stick with a good man who was being slandered and libeled by leftists when the wussy Republicans in the Senate were ready to cave.

Clarice gives Trump the credit via this quote, spoon fed FTA: As Mike David reminds us: Trump’s flawless Gorsuch nomination and confirmation united weak and wobbly Senate Republicans to run over the Democrats’ filibuster and lower the vote threshold from 60 to 51. This comforted Kennedy enough to retire, so Trump could replace Kennedy with his protégé -- and still keep weak and wobbly Senate Republicans onboard. (There’s no chance another Alito or Thomas could have been confirmed in 2018, with Collins, Murkowski, Flake, and others being so weak and wobbly.) If Kavanaugh’s nomination failed, Republicans would’ve lost the Senate in 2018 and the Court after 2020. Trump never blinked, even when almost every Senate Republican did. Instead, we pulled the rabbit out of the hat. And knocked out 4 Senate Democrat incumbents and picked up 2 seats (when Republicans lost the House). This paved the way for Trump’s replacement of Ginsburg with Barrett. First constitutionalist Supreme Court majority in 90 years. I can think of no other Republican -- besides Trump -- who had the political skills, force of personality, and backbone to pull this off. When anyone claims any other Republican president could do this or do this better, they clearly do not understand how the process actually works. And they would have clearly failed. And we still have some who quibble about Trump’s personal quirks…while we have a certifiable mental case/corrupt head of a Crime Family (occasionally) in the White House.

Fulton County District Attorney, Fani Willis has some formidable hurdles to clear in her quest to convict Donald Trump for interfering in Georgia's 2020 election. She plans to indict the former President in the Atlanta courthouse in August. Ms. Willis has put together a list of Georgia-state election crimes to charge him with. Among those, Ga. Code Ann. § 21-2-603 -- "conspiracy to commit election fraud." If all goes well, she will add racketeering to the list; based on something to do with Trump's collusion with "fake electors." The first hurdle Willis must confront is of her own making.

After five nights of riots, the Ministry of the Interior recorded about 5,000 vehicles burned, nearly 1,000 buildings damaged, 250 attacks on police stations, and more than 700 police officers injured. About 3,200 have been arrested since Tuesday during the riots. The General Inspectorate of the National Police (IGNP) denied reports that the police officer involved in the fatal shooting of Nahel M. June 27 had threatened to “shoot him in the head” as claimed by Nahel’s accomplice Fouad and mainstream media intent on fueling the violence. Instead, the officers had instructed Nahel to turn off the engine and put his hands behind his head, Valeurs Actuelles reports.

The MAGA crowd is fully aware of Lindsey and his devious ways. And it is not missed by the people of South Carolina that Lindsey cares more about the security of Ukraine than the security of the USA. The reactions to the affirmative action ruling from the Supreme Court were bound to get ugly. It’s a cycle of whining we’ve all come to know from the Left when they don’t get their way, and this week was a brutal one for progressives in America. From this ruling on college admissions to Joe Biden not being able to cancel student debt unilaterally, the Left learned that Biden isn’t a king. While liberal America’s initial reactions to the affirmative action ruling will undoubtedly be centered on how Justice Clarence Thomas is evil, how we’re veering back toward pre-Civil War times, how the GOP is racist

First, this point from Elle Purnell: Between April and June 2020, when IRS agents were preparing to execute interviews and search warrants, it was “career DOJ officials,” Shapley said, who “purposely slow-walk[ed] investigative actions.” She then points out: All of that happened under Trump and his attorney general, William Barr. That’s not to make the absurd suggestion that it happened at Trump or Barr’s direction. Rather, it shows how monstrous the triple-letter leviathan and its grip on our political process are. It is "absurd" to say that President Trump protected Biden. But is it so absurd to argue that Barr played a role in protecting the likely Democrat nominee? I don't think so.

Everyone in life faces disadvantages of one form or another. Almost all children get called an unpleasant name or two in grade school. Some are oppressed by a drunk, abusive, or absent parent. Others may be trapped in horrific schools or extreme poverty. Still others are simply not gifted with high IQs or the ambition to work hard and succeed. The list of reasons why most people don’t go to Ivy League schools and then on to lucrative careers is long, and “oppression” comes in many forms.

Two years ago, Joe Biden declared that his son, Hunter, never did anything wrong in his life, and everyone who "attacks" Hunter's "stellar reputation" is probably Putin's stooge. When Hunter's less than stellar activities came into public view, Joe said he "didn't know anything about them." Recently, when the IRS whistleblower's allegations turned up corruption, the White House changed the story again: "Joe might've heard about Hunter's 'business,' but he was not participating in it." Last week, another "smoking gun" directly implicating Joe Biden in his son's bribery scheme appeared in the form of Hunter's WhatsApp message to a "foreign business associate":

On October 14, 2020 Arutz 7 reported The Obama administration’s leakage of Israel’s secret agreement with Azerbaijan sabotaged Israeli preemptive attempts to destroy Iranian nuclear facilities. Azerbaijan would have allowed Israeli warplanes to refuel during attacks on the nuclear facilities. U.S. senator John McCain on the weekend accused President Barack Obama's administration of leaking the report of Obama's approval of cyber-attacks against Iran in a bid for pre-election glory. The ink is barely dry on the Supreme Court’s decisions on religious freedom and affirmative action. That hasn’t hampered instapundits from offering their own decisions. “An extremist minority” has “displayed a willful ignorance of our reality.” I haven’t found polemics denouncing “activist courts,” but that’s probably because I can’t stomach searching for such unhinged screeds. But is every decision of the Court from activists? Are they legislating from the bench, to recall another favorite line from the party of the recently gored ox? Of course, it’s a bit rich to call the Supremes “extremists,” when even Justice Jackson joined a unanimous Court in upholding the free practice of religion.

Former White House press secretary Jen Psaki claimed Republicans are recruiting Muslims against transgender people in her Sunday episode of MSNBC’s “Inside with Jen Psaki.” Psaki claimed Republicans are using former President Richard Nixon’s “Southern Strategy” method by turning Muslim Americans against transgender people and, in turn, winning their vote. “Now, decades later, the right-wing is reviving that same playbook,” Psaki said. “This time, with Muslim Americans and trans people. Hear me out here, the GOP is trying to recruit Muslim Americans, a community that makes up less than two percent of the U.S. population against another tiny marginalized group of Americans — transgender people.”

Not an obscure one, either: About a year prior, Inoue gave the Chair’s Address at a prestigious writing studies research conference and declared, “White people can perpetuate white supremacy by being present.Your body perpetuates racism.”

The first GOP debate stage might not produce the dramatic scene originally expected as a growing number of candidates could opt to skip out – while others are struggling to meet the requirements to land on stage. With just two months to go, there are 15 candidates vying for the Republican presidential nomination in 2024 – and only one-third of the field has met the requirements so far to debate in August. Longshot candidates remain at risk of not qualifying in time to reach the debate stage, while some of the frontrunners are threatening to boycott due to restrictions and rules set by the Republican National Committee (RNC).
