Tennessee Republican Rep. Andy Ogles introduced articles of impeachment on Monday against President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris. Ogles’ articles accuse Biden of having "weaponized" the presidency, both in his tenure as president and vice president, to "shield the business and influence peddling schemes of his family from congressional oversight and public accountability." Additionally, the articles accuse Biden of acting in a "manner contrary to the public trust and subversive of constitutional government, to the great prejudice of the cause of law and justice and to the manifest injury of the people of the United States" with his handling of the southern border crisis.

Good for him!! Now if other Republicans will grow a pair and support this. The Dems of course will ignore or berate the truth, but at least a few people are speaking out and actually trying to do something.

I'm fully in favor of this, even though we know it wouldn't pass. Make them deal with some "Operation Chaos" for a change, and use Impeachment as a vehicle for forcing the facts in front of more people. This goes hand-in-hand with those who are pressing conservative D.A.'s and Attorneys General to drag some of the dem miscreants through the courts and make them bleed their bank accounts the way they do to our side.

Watch the spineless Swamp Rat Republicans squirm and make excuses for not supporting this. If they can crawl under a rock and not do or say anything about it, they will.

With the arraignment of Donald Trump in Miami, Department of Justice (DOJ) special counsel Jack Smith is pushing forward with a historic criminal prosecution that could result in a terminal prison sentence for the 76-year-old former president and, at least for now, the leading Republican candidate in the 2024 election. This also is the six-month anniversary of the appointment of another special counsel … Robert Hur. In the company of better-known appointees like Robert Mueller, John Durham and Smith, Hur is the prosecutorial version of the missing Beatle. He was appointed on Jan. 12 and then seemingly vanished.

If America were truly a mentally healthy nation, the popular culture would be bursting with Banana Boats and deviously sarcastic Calypso singers. And they’d be mocking President Joe Biden for transforming America into his favorite ice cream flavor as he aims his (our?) government at his political rival. The flavor? Biden Banana Republic. Later of course comes the other novelty, the inevitable Democrat Banana Split along race/gender lines with the country cleaving into jagged pieces, allowing China to send her navy to “protect” our shores from unspecified aggression. But not yet. Not yet.

Former President Donald Trump has been indicted for illegally storing and hiding classified documents. As conservative radio host Steve Gruber describes it, the “bananafication” of our republic continues apace. There are three reasons every American — even those of us not supporting Trump’s 2024 campaign — should find this further assault on the former president repugnant. First, it reinforces the view, shared by many conservatives, that our government delivers a two-tiered system of justice — one for people on the right and another for those on the left.

The number of congregations departing the United Methodist Church (UMC) exceeded 5,000 last week as the second-largest Protestant denomination in the U.S. continues to fracture over theological disagreements, mostly pertaining to human sexuality. The number of churches that have been given the green light by their annual conferences to disaffiliate increased from approximately 4,600 early last week to 5,321 as of Friday, according to UM News. The number of churches leaving the UMC has surged in recent years, with approximately 2,000 congregations being approved to disaffiliate in 2022 and more than 3,000 this year.

After the world escaped a nuclear exchange during the Cuban missile crisis of October 1962, it has been generally understood that nuclear-armed nations did not publicly threaten their rivals and enemies with thermonuclear weapons. Of course, there were occasional lunatic exceptions to the rule. Since 2006, when the unhinged North Korean regime acquired nuclear weapons, the world has periodically dismissed the zany threats from the Kim dynasty. Kim Jong Un has sporadically warned he might strike Japan, South Korea, and the United States—usually in an outrageous and outlandish fashion. Kim finally was warned of the consequences of his brinkmanship rhetoric, most famously by Donald Trump in 2018.

NATO's Air Defender exercise using traditional fighter jets contrasts with new tactics in aerial combat. Drones may turn out to be a cheaper and more efficient option, but Germany remains skeptical. People in parts of Germany shouldn't be surprised if they hear sonic booms in the coming days. NATO's Air Defender, a multinational show of aerial force initiated by Germany in 2018, looks to improve the coordinated defense of Euro-Atlantic territory and serve as a measure of deterrence against would-be aggressors like Russia. The high-altitude and resource-intensive war game, which puts together an array of expensive, sophisticated assets meant to successfully carry out complex air operations, stands in stark contrast

Bribe Saga

The recent and credible bribe allegations against the president could reveal the truth about the ties between the Biden family and the FBI. FBI Director Christopher Wray narrowly avoided contempt of Congress proceedings last week over his refusal to provide the House Oversight Committee with an unclassified document memorializing a trusted informant’s allegation that then-Vice President Joe Biden accepted a $5 million bribe from Ukrainian energy oligarch Burisma. Dramatic as the near-rebuke may have appeared, and as explosive as the contents of the FBI’s concealed FD-1023 form seem to be, the trio of apparent scandals this saga touches on transcends its immediate significance.

The U.S. House of Representatives should immediately vote to approve an impeachment investigation into President Joe Biden on suspicion of bribery in the wake of new evidence emerging from the FBI’s 1023 form. That document, handed over to Congress only after the House Oversight Committee threatened to charge FBI Director Christopher Wray with contempt, reportedly describes a $5 million foreign scheme to bribe Biden. As I wrote in March, there were already ample grounds to investigate Biden for bribery — one of only two crimes specifically mentioned in the Constitution as grounds for impeachment and removal from office.

The pennies were stashed in dozens of bank bags and are worth anywhere from $10,000 at face value to potentially much more, according to KTLA News.

A Louisiana farm is facing devastating backlash for its pro-faith social media post. Owner of the Backwater Foei Gras farmstead, Ross McKnight, has lost two-thirds of his restaurant business after he made an Instagram post commemorating the Catholic celebration of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, leaving his "tiny" family-owned farm under intense economic pressure. In the post, he referred to the "attempted coup of the month," referring to Pride Month. He then suggested "some antidotes to a false pride." During his appearance on "Fox & Friends Weekend," McKnight noted that he has never been "quiet" about his faith, making the widespread pushback from his post even more surprising.

America’s All Volunteer Force turns 50 this year. Since 1973, the U.S. military has, with rare exceptions, met its annual recruitment goals and improved the quality of the force. Now, however, it is mired in its worst recruiting stretch in history. Last year, the Army missed its recruiting goal by 25% and already predicts it will miss again in 2023. Ditto the Air Force and Navy. Officials cite numerous reasons for the shortfall: low unemployment, a smaller pool of young people qualified to serve, declining public confidence in the military and more. Whatever the reasons, these recruiting failures portend trouble for military readiness.

San Francisco may not be irretrievably lost as a viable metropolis — yet. But its status as one of America’s great cities is gone and it’s hard to see how the once-golden city can return to its dazzling glory as a center of art, architecture, and commerce. It’s not unprecedented in America. St. Louis, Cleveland, Buffalo — all were once thriving cities. All have since lost at least half their population, and those who remain have failed to regenerate the vibrancy, the energy of the early to mid-20th century. But what’s truly shocking about the demise of San Francisco has been the speed at which the city has fallen

According to an Open the Books report released last month, the IRS has spent more than $35 million since 2006 on firearms, ammunition, and tactical gear for its glorified and federally empowered accountant force, with some $10 million of that taxpayer-funded armament coming since just 2020.
