The U.S. Senate voted to approve the “The Fiscal Responsibility Act of 2023,” averting a potential default on the national debt. The bill reportedly passed the Senate on Thursday with a vote of 63-36. “The Senate passed the bipartisan debt deal Thursday night, sending it to President Joe Biden’s desk days before the default deadline and capping off months of melodrama,” Politico reported. (Tweet) As Breitbart News reported on Wednesday, the House overwhelmingly voted to approve the act, passing it 314 to 117 in favor. Now that both chambers have approved, it will move to President Joe Biden’s desk for his expected signature.

Oh, yea, more money we don't have, to be spent by a president we don't have. Both parties are to blame when everything crashes.

Every time this happens (and it happens a lot) there are some that put the houses if congress (they worked late into the night) on a pedestal and laud all of their bipartisan hard work. Reality is that the elected representatives caused the problems, and blame others for them. Then, they come together and “solve” it by increasing the national debt. Of course they build drama by threatening default. Frankly, IF. The US defaulted, you can bet your last penny that congressional salaries and expenses have been artfully protected so that they can continue their good work. Oh, how they posture and pontificate! Now, they will take a month off for having worked so hard. Ordinary Americans get screwed.

Clearly the current leftist, progressive, and socialist Democrats could care less who is the resident of the White House as long as that individual complies with all aspects of their socialist political agenda. In that respect, to them it is all about maintaining their political power indefinitely, nothing more nothing less.

I watched Senator Grassley do several interviews two days before this vote. They were asking him for his opinions and analysis of what the House had just done over the weekend. He was chipper, almost giddy as he said oh yes he was going to vote for it. He was proud GOP Senators would absolutely stand up and be counted to keep the USA financially solvent. It is RINOS like Chuck Grassley who have helped Democrats bring us to this. Affection for an old man who has some Senate accomplishments is buying him a lifetime seat as if he is royalty. Then he will get to pick a nice conservative-sounding rino to take his seat too

Have you heard this one? A Republican president and a Democratic president walked off stage after commencement speeches at military colleges three years apart. The media coverage was a joke. Then: In 2020, then-President Donald Trump slowly descended a ramp at West Point in New York after taking a weird sip of water, and mainstream media pretended it was a national crisis. Over-one third of Democrats disagree with laws protecting children from “sex-change” surgery, a Rasmussen Reports survey released Thursday found. The survey asked respondents if they approve or disapprove of legislation making it illegal to perform sex-change surgeries on minors. Overall, 62 percent at least somewhat approve of those laws, and of those, 46 percent “strongly” approve. Another 30 percent at least somewhat disapprove, but that figure is even higher among Democrats, specifically, as 35 percent at least somewhat disapprove of laws preventing children from mutilating their bodies in the name of “gender-affirmation.”

The outspoken host of ESPN’s “First Take” and “The Stephen A. Smith Show” podcast is fed up with black-on-black crime and the silence that surrounds it. This week Smith said during his eponymous podcast that he “had no choice” but to talk about it. Lamenting the high number of shootings in Chicago over the long Memorial Day Weekend, Smith had a question for the black community: “When are we going to look at ourselves when it comes to black people being killed in the streets of America?”Smith is right to be angry. Over the long holiday weekend, fifty-three Americans were indeed shot in Chicago alone.

A shocking bit of honesty occurred during CNN's Erin Burnett OutFront on Thursday night as the network's medical analyst recommended President Joe Biden start walking with a cane to prevent his frequent falls. The recommendation was uttered when cardiologist and former member of George W. "This is about the third time we've seen the President fall. He fell twice going up the steps of Air Force One once in 2021 and once earlier this year," Reiner observed.
