Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) indicated Tuesday he would support moving the bill to raise the debt limit to the floor for a full House vote, a pivotal step as House leaders race to rally enough support to send the bill to the Senate this week. Massie, one of nine Republicans on the House Rules Committee, had been holding out on taking a firm stance on the bill, which includes some of Republicans’ desired spending reductions and other provisions. The Kentucky Republican opened his remarks during the committee’s review of the bill by clarifying with colleagues that the bill did indeed make a small cut to this year’s discretionary spending

Another wet finger lifted to the wind, that's what I call leadership. When your credit card debt is over twenty grand and your stack of bills on the table is falling over, it's too late to cancel the damned cable TV. We need to cut now and we need to take care of productive Americans over the parasitic underclass.

If there is no cap on debt, how is it a debt ceiling? Only in DC does this stuff make any sense.

If there is any good to come out of this Bill, it is that it will smoke out all the phonies and pretenders once and for all.

I respect Massie, and I'm happy "HIS" provision remained in the bill, but why not have THAT provision along with many other provisions the Conservatives brought forward but got tossed by McCarthy?

The Department of Justice under the Biden Administration has become nothing but a tool of the regime. Actually, the Justice Department under both Obama and Trump was already a corrupt organization, and by the regime, I don’t mean the elected officials in office, but the permanent government that has come to be characterized as the “Deep State.” The Deep State isn’t a cabal, per se. They aren’t gathering a (now marijuana) smoke-filled room plotting the downfall of America. Rather, they are a bunch of high-level bureaucrats who believe that they have the wisdom and the power to run the country, all the way down to

Comer and FBI Director Christopher Wray conducted a scheduled meeting Wednesday in which the bureau chief confirmed the file’s existence. The file allegedly details an arrangement involving an exchange of money for policy decisions between now-President Biden and a foreign national.

Democrats and Republicans reached an agreement to lift the debt ceiling, and nothing is going to change in the disturbing pattern of America’s national debt climbing by leaps and bounds. The best reason for pessimism? Our Democrat-messaging media. They can’t be bothered to offer the most basic facts in budget coverage. What is the budget for the current fiscal year? What was the last budget deficit? How large is the national debt? These are questions that are rarely answered by news anchors. What we get is a lot of horse-race jockeying and finger-pointing instead of facts. They must think the viewers are too stupid to juggle numbers.
