House Republicans are out with a second version of their debt ceiling bill meant to win over GOP holdouts after repeatedly insisting they would not make changes to the legislation.
Changes made during a Rules Committee hearing that went until the early hours of Wednesday morning were meant to win over some of the eight-plus holdouts whose votes are needed to get the Limit Save Grow Act through the House.
The tweaked version includes changes to ethanol and work requirements provisions -- but in a last-minute dig at the former speaker the bill also now strips $200 in maintenance in Presidio park in San Francisco - Nancy Pelosi's district.

San Francisco was HANDED the Presidio, and even though they have the worst housing avaiablity and ther highest housing costs in the country , IMMEDIATELY decided to make it a park, give free/low rent ton NGO's and charity groups, including Gorbachov. Rather than develop and market what was/is potentially THE most valuable land in America. Locking themselves(and everyone else in the country) into $200 Million dollars per year "Maintenance" costs rater than selling 10,000 multi million dollar lots that would PAY $billions annually in property taxes alone, create thousands of jobs, reduce/erase commute times for thousands(Cutting carbon emissions). Right across the bay is San Quentin, with the BEST Views of San Francisco of ANY location, served by 2 highways and a ferry system for commuters, an outdated prison with a low population and under daily fines for it's Cruel/Backward conditions. They could build a dozen State of the art criminal education/living facilities, elsewhere, and still bank $billions by developing that land, which currently the public cannot even legally access. Much of it is rolling hills, with to die for vistas.

Why should the entire country be on the hook for $200 million to maintain a homeless camp/outdoor toilet in San Francisco. It’s about time these liberal cities started cleaning up the messes they created. Or further wallow in it. Their choice, not my problem. Good for speaker McCarthy.

More broadly…why should someone in Ohio subsidize park maintenance for any out of state park?

It's not some tiny little greenspace, it is 1450acres of prime real estate, formerly Pacific command housing, hence the golf courses, pools and facilities, approx 1/8 the size of the entire City.https://www.google.com/maps/place/Presidio+of+San+Francisco,+San+Francisco,+CA/@37.7811079,-122.499468,12.69z/data=!4m6!3m5!1s0x808586df085a159b:0xb4afb256fcbe7f60!8m2!3d37.7923841!4d-122.4810057!16zL20vMGc2ODc

When the homeless encampments here get completely overrun by the filth and crime, the occupants will just move on to your towns. Perhaps it's time to ponder and pick which is more important, "not on my dime" or "not in my back yard". The neighborhood between Presidio Park and Golden Gate Park is getting both: It's both in their back yard AND on their dime.
Be thankful for whatever insulation your neighborhood still has from that.
