During a portion of an interview with NPR released on Thursday, White House Chief of Staff Jeff Zients stated that President Joe Biden won’t negotiate over spending cuts in exchange for raising the debt ceiling with Republicans in Congress like Biden did when he was part of the Obama administration in 2011 because “brinksmanship” “had major impacts on the economy, on families across the country. And we’re not doing that again.” While speaking on “All Things Considered,” NPR White House Correspondent Asma Khalid stated, “I asked Jeff Zients, the White House Chief of Staff, why have you all been so unwilling to negotiate here?

Who is writing the Puppet-in-Chief's statements? Saying you won't negotiate IS brinkmanship. These people really are morons, and they think they are smarter than everyone else.

People wind Biden up and he speaks. Keep printing more money. it is the equivalent of throwing gasoline on a fire. The people doing this want America to collapse and fail. These are deliberate acts. Many of the people supporting the Democrats may be clueless, but the people behind the scenes know exactly what they are doing.

No worry. McCarthy has been negotiating with himself --- and making concessions, the last to accede to an additional $1.5 Trillion through March of 2024. And McCarthy is continuing meetings with himself, new concessions being considered.

Instead he wants to treat the National Fisc. the way he did Hunters egregious binge spending on hookers , travel, russian dope and hotel suite parties. He just paid the Bills on HIS cards or others, no matter how outlandish the charges were. Because "It was better for the Family" to rubberstamp anything and everything Hunter chose to waste time and money on, rather than to confront him on his lifestyle, choices, addictions and extraordinary RISKS, not only dangerous personally, but to the Family, the community, and the Nation. The term for that is "Enabling", and it most often leads to destruction. The US Govt has been receiving RECORD setting Tax Revenues nearly every month and quarter, yet exceeding them with new and ever expanding spending, also setting new records every month and quarter. Refusing to even discuss the "Spending side", and demanding the "Family" merely cover the Black sheep's Bills without question is not "administration", it is "Abdication" of all rationality, responsibility and, obligation.,

Biden isn’t negotiating because he wants to create conditions that will aggravate Americans so that they reject Repubs in 2024. We can expect: A. Delays in passport renewals/apps as summer travel approaches. B. Closing of national parks and the monuments that have avoided being torn down. C. Threat to delay Social Security checks. D. Threat to not pay Medicare and Medicaid charges by doctors and hospitals. F. Threat to close federal court houses and other federal offices. Remember, if Bide doesn’t get his way, we will suffer.

Biden is to blame for not negotiating the debt limit. All he wants to do is spend the USA and the American people into a debt crisis while make other countries rich over his and John Kerry’s climate change bull…. We want accountability and he can not give us accountability.

So they proposed an increase in spending, but didn't' have the actual means to pay for it, which includes room to increase the debt ceiling. If they can't pay for those things, they need to negotiate, or they are the reason for any consequences.

The boogie man, scary prospect of "The Govt Shut Down" has lost it's fear factor, we have ALL just recently gone through an actual Govt Shutdown that lasted several years. It's is the CAUSE of much of the overspending, Govt charged more and PAID more to everyone while BEING shut down. DC is still one of the ,if not THE, most shutdown Cities in the world, nearly half of DC workers still never go to the "Office".

Gov. Kathy Hochul (D-NY) and state lawmakers reached an agreement to phase out natural gas hookups in new buildings beginning in 2025, a first-of-its-kind state law designed to reduce reliance on fossil fuels and transition to cleaner sources of energy. Hochul said Thursday she reached a handshake deal with lawmakers on the agreement, which was included in New York’s fiscal 2024 budget. Though the budget stops short of an explicit ban on natural gas appliances, it will ban natural gas hookups in most new residential and commercial buildings under seven stories beginning in 2026. By 2029, that will extend to larger industrial and commercial properties as well.
