Egypt has accused Netflix of misrepresenting history by casting a Black woman to play Cleopatra, its most famous historical figure, in a new series. “Queen Cleopatra,” which is released May 10, features Adele James in the lead role, a casting decision that the streaming giant says is “a nod to the centuries-long conversation about the ruler’s race” but which officials in Cairo have dismissed as “blatant historical fallacy.” The government statement issued Thursday marked an escalation in a feud that has sparked demands for the show's cancellation, amid a broader debate over representation in popular culture. The eight-episode docu-drama is

As Fox News moves leftward, CNN, the sick man of cable news, just aired a segment that would hearten any alienated FNC viewers that happened to catch it. Is this a portent of things to come?
The New York Post reports on the confrontation that must have shocked Randi Weingarten, the head of the AFT who this past week falsely claimed to a congressional committee that she had fought every day to reopen schools, when, in fact, she and her union were the major force keeping them closed. A paid CNN commentator, Scott Jennngs, delivered the truth bomb.

President Joe Biden starts his day with a workout and caps it off with a phone call to son Hunter while, sandwhiched in between, are a national security briefing, staff meetings, events, day trips and whatever else the day may bring.
The president's schedule has returned to the spotlight amid a new report claiming aides struggle to get the 80-year-old to do evening or morning events.
Biden literally carries his schedule around with him on a long white notecard, checking off items with a black pen as he moves through the day.

While I’m not fond of “unpack” in this usage, there’s a lot to unpack in answering the headline question.
Yes, Kamala Harris is arguably the most unqualified person in history to serve as vice president. Even worse, given the reality of 80-year-old Joe Biden’s mental decline, her ill-advised selection in 2020 puts the Democrat Party in a precarious position with respect to the 2024 presidential election.
As conservative columnist Kristin Tate told Fox News Digital, “Kamala Harris is one of the most unlikable and uninspiring public figures in modern political history.” The approval rating of the Cackling Queen of Word Salads™ hasn’t surpassed 40 percent since her first year in office,

Anheuser-Busch is receiving calls from the transgender community to double down publicly on their support of transgender activist Dylan Mulvaney.
Anheuser-Busch, the company that makes Bud Light, Budweiser, Busch Light, and a variety of other beers, is being pressured to reaffirm further support of the transgender community after the company faced right-wing backlash for hiring Mulvaney as a brand ambassador last month.

Remember those commercials showing footage of dogs and cats living in deplorable conditions while singer Sarah McLachlan croons about being in the arms of an angel? There is a chance that you might have been moved to donate to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), the organization behind those ads.
A recent report might prompt those who supported the ASPCA to reconsider.
The ASPCA has been accused of sitting on hundreds of millions of dollars while giving only two percent of its budget to animal shelters, according to the Center for the Environment and Welfare (CEW).

Rising Fox News star Lawrence Jones has been tapped as the next rotating replacement for fired anchor Tucker Carlson's 8pm weekday spot.
Jones, 30, will take over as the next temporary host of the rebranded 'Fox News Tonight' starting on Monday, following Brian Kilmeade's weeklong stint as Carlson's replacement, a network spokesperson told DailyMail.com on Saturday.
Since January 2022, Jones has hosted a weekend primetime show on the network, 'Lawrence Jones Cross Country', making him the youngest black solo host of a cable news show in history.

Democratic presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said Friday that “mega-billionaires” like Bill Gates are using climate change to implement “totalitarian controls on society.”
“Climate issues and pollution issues are being exploited by, you know, the World Economic Forum and Bill Gates and all of these big, you know, mega-billionaires, the same way that COVID was exploited, to use it as an excuse to clamp down top-down totalitarian controls on society,” Kennedy told Talk show host Kim Iversen. (snip) the most important solution for environmental issues, not top down controls is free market capitalism,” Kennedy said.

God must approve of MAGA, because Donald Trump is surely blessed. He's never been a politician, and he's famously undisciplined on the campaign trail. But he is always blessed with the most incapable opponents to run against. Those opponents have been the embodiment of incompetence magnified by unlikability. (snip) Joe Biden announced his candidacy in an early-morning video release, because he wasn't capable of doing it live — and we all know it. That's how horrible of a candidate he is. Joe certainly isn't the worst the Dems could put forward, but that's a testament to how bad their choices are

Chuck Schumer and actress Julia Fox were among some of the early arrivals for Saturday's White House Correspondents' Dinner - with the unlikely pair raising some eyebrows as they made their way down the red carpet side by side.
Clad in a tuxedo for the black-tie event, the 72-year-old Senate leader posed for multiple photos with the Uncut Gems actress, who last month vehemently denied using diabetes meds to lose weight during an ill-fated fling with rapper Kanye West.
Known for daring, sometimes atypical fashion choices, the 33-year-old model elected for a less traditional getup -

Next month, it will be 31 years since The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson aired its farewell episode. We all knew that Carson was irreplaceable. Greatly modified expectations got late-night fans through the first several years after Carson retired. The Jay Leno/David Letterman succession mess really threw a dark cloud over the beginning of the post-Carson era.
It is well known that Carson wanted Letterman to replace him. Personally, I always thought that Dave was too quirky for the Tonight Show audience. Heck, I thought he was too quirky for that time slot, but he proved me wrong on that one.
Because Leno and Letterman had already been on television so much,
