Judge Juan Merchan, who is overseeing former President Donald Trump’s case in Manhattan, violated New York’s Code of Judicial Conduct by making three donations to Democrats in 2020, which could be grounds for an ethics investigation, according to several legal experts and former prosecutors. Under Section 100.5 of the New York Code of Judicial Conduct, sitting judges cannot “directly or indirectly engage in any political activity.” Prohibited political activity includes “(h) soliciting funds for, paying an assessment to, or making a contribution to a political organization or candidate.” The New York State Advisory Committee on Judicial Ethics’s yearly-updated handbook makes this clear, stating:

This "might" be an accessory instance of another recent story, where "Act Blue" was logging micro donations from people that didn't make them...sometimes hundreds of them a day. Overall thousands of tiny donations per individual. $Millions of dollars worth ALL spent on anti-trump/anti-repub activities. Does this constitute an "Accounting error/Fraud" with three felonies attached to each and every one of the donations/entries Act Blue received?

Political judges are political, no joke. It's not rocket science. Therefore, their judgments are political as well. 45 is screwed, there's no way Juan will judge a fair trial.

If he'd donated to Trump or his daughter had worked on PDT's campaign, dems and their propaganda arm, would already be asking him to recuse himself.

PROLOGUE: THE INFORMATION WAR In 1950, Sen. Joseph McCarthy claimed that he had proof of a communist spy ring operating inside the government. Overnight, the explosive accusations blew up in the national press, but the details kept changing. Initially, McCarthy said he had a list with the names of 205 communists in the State Department; the next day he revised it to 57. Since he kept the list a secret, the inconsistencies were beside the point. The point was the power of the accusation, which made McCarthy’s name synonymous with the politics of the era.

Ehh, this could be problematic for the progressive leftists and the orange-man bad persecution efforts. Sunlight dear friends. Fear not, no weapon formed against us shall prosper. Judge Juan Merchan, the judge in charge of President Donald Trump’s criminal case in Manhattan, apparently donated money to Joe Biden and Democrat efforts to remove President Trump from office. (snip) the FEC records show Judge Merchan made the donations through “Act Blue,” the DNC funding mechanism; the same Act Blue organization now shown by James O’Keefe to have laundered money through various unaware Democrat donors. So, there’s a possibility Judge Merchan may not have made the actual donations
