The mom of the transgender school shooter who murdered six people including three nine-year-olds at a Nashville private school Monday said 'I think I just lost my daughter' - as her own calls for increased gun control emerged. Norma Hale spoke to ABC News shortly after her daughter Audrey Hale, 28, was named as the shooter. She said: 'It's very, very difficult right now. I think I lost my daughter today.' Norma then requested privacy as her family struggles to cope with the magnitude of her late daughter's actions.

Now it comes out that she wanted to attack another school but decided there was too much security. So, security really is a deterrent. The narrative that the attack on this particular school was due to some long held grudge at having been forced to attend there is also debunked. The fact is that she was a mentally ill and evil person who just wanted to kill children. Her mother is railing against guns because she has to blame guns rather than herself for not seeing the signs and getting her daughter mental health treatment. The gun control left always wants to take guns from the mentally so why don;t they take guns from mentally ill people who are pumping themselves full of testosterone in an effort to circumvent the natural order?

Latest report I could find says she was born female. So yes, Mom did have a daughter. Still a lot of unexplained weirdness in this very sad case. Perhaps she was taking male hormones and couldn't handle the added aggression? I had a few scary moments as a teacher, mainly because of unhinged parents. So glad I'm out of schools. This is just so sad. Ramona (the Pest)

While I have sympathy for this woman losing her daughter, this is not a gun control issue but a people issue, and I think there is a lot of deflection of blame here. Anyone as thorough as "Audrey" would have managed access to guns no matter what, and she had a detailed plan in writing as to the attack. How could she live with her parents without them having a clue as to her rage or mental illness...either works. The GUNS of the police took this young woman down, and it is amazing more are not dead. And lawfully held guns owned by private citizens are increasingly important in a country where the Left has vilified the police and culled their numbers to the point where they often can't respond. (Unless you are Joe Biden who asserts that the Republicans are for cutting the police and birder agents.......how can Democrats hold their heads up and, in lock step, support this corrupt, compromised liar of a politician...it isn't AGE, it is Joe, whose mental state deteriorates daily but who was ALWAYS a corrupt liar.). This mother is trying top place the blame on others, and to deflect blame from herself. It may make HER feel better, but it is baloney!

Sadly she is right. It is difficult to lose a child. I know. However, in reality, she lost this child a long time ago. There is no way the family did not know the murderer was in trouble. It is sad. I cannot weep for the murderer's family right now. I mourn for the families of the innocents lost by the demonic premeditated murderer.

It is easy to criticize the parents, but there's not much a parent can do about a mentally-ill 28 year old. No matter what the parents did when she was a minor living in their house, legally, she's been an adult for ten years. Under HIPAA, no doctor could even consult with the parents without their daughter's permission. They could try to alert the authorities if they suspected something, but as long as she wasn't immediately suicidal, they couldn't touch her.

Someone should backtrack this young lady's decision to become transgender. This is rarely decided without others cheerleading the decision. Kids want to become all sorts of 'cool' things, growing up. But it normally passes unless reinforced by a valued peer or mentor. Get to the bottom of this evil.

Personal experience with a female transing to male. The female does not handle the aggressive tendencies the hormones present. Males have been living with those hormones all their lives and part of growing up and becoming a man is learning to channel that aggression into something productive. Most men do. But the females become aggressive and resort to taking that aggression out on others in a violent manner.
