The headline says it all, doesn’t it?
North College Hill City School District in Cincinnati, Ohio, recently ranked #597 out of 607 Ohio school districts, according to the state’s evaluation index. By my grading scale, that’s straight F-minuses across the board. The district’s preposterous excuse? The teachers are “all worn out.” Oh, noes! On second thought, indoctrinating children five days a week must be a grueling task, at least at the beginning. I mean, you know, programming young minds to believe things they’ve likely never even heard of, the need to remember “who’s what gender?” every day,

For decades, the public school system was nothing more than government paid child care to keep little monsters off the street and lighten the work of beat cops. . Now, they won't even be that.

Poor things. Try 12 hour nursing shifts and then get back to me.

Teachers don't want to teach. Simple as that. But they still want paid. Bet there is no pay cut for going to a 4-day work week. Would you send your children to a school where the teachers don't want to teach them?

Will they be teaching 12 months a year now, with a 2 week vacation?

Imagine if teachers were required to actually teach subjects everyday which my wife did for forty years. What makes teaching today so stressful is the never ending egg shells the teachers have to dance around in school today. Nothing is about teaching a subject, it's all woke attitudes all day long. The he/she/it/them/they minefield occurs every minute of everyday. Add in the kids disrespect and lack of anyone in charge taking any responsibility for any of it, and you've got people who go to school, graduate from college with a teaching degree, and lasting one hopes a full year teaching before the sheer frustration dealing with it all finally has them calling it quits. As for the 12 hour shifts of nurses #2, nurses work three 12 hour shifts per week and while they have to deal with their own issues in hospitals, it doesn't compare to what teachers have to deal with on a daily basis.

Not like they're actually teaching anything anyway. Plus 1 less day a week of indoctrination.

Are you a nurse, #7? Our daughter is, and we know firsthand about the issues nurses deal with on the job. If I think back to the kind of "teaching" our kids got in high school (mostly handing out reams of Xeroxed worksheets to complete), I guess there is no comparison between teachers and nurses.
