Nineteen ‘freedom-loving states’ have joined together to form an alliance to push back on Joe Biden’s ESG agenda. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis organized the alliance of red-state governors who pledge to use pension funds in their states to force corporations to maximize shareholder value, not push a woke ideology.
Under President Joe Biden, the US Department of Labor put in place a rule that would allow managers of retirement plans to weigh climate change and other environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues in their investment decisions. The move undid an effort under then-President Donald Trump to block such investments. The rule has become a focus in a fight over what proponents

States are reclaiming their constitutional powers that have been usurped by the Communist Federal Government. This is a path to restoration of our Republic and our God Given Rights. We must support every single one of these governors, especially Ron DeSantis. And a word of warning to our lawfully elected President Trump - Lay off the stupid, cheap shots against DeSantis, it is a real turn off. Who the hell is advising Trump on these dumb, dumb, dumb tactics?

I live in what is essentially a red state, but with a one off blue governor, so Louisiana is not in the alliance. Hopefully, we can put John Bel in early retirement, politically, next election!

Despite my screen name, I moved to Idaho two years ago and I’m glad to see we are in the group. The state GOP is mostly run by RINO squishes, our governor Brad Little included. Little would never lead as DeSantis is doing here, but at least he had the good sense to join this alliance. We need more of this on multiple cultural, political and economic issues.

#3. What prompts you to think Trump takes advice from anyone?

Well #6 - He unfortunately listened to Drs. Birx and Fauci when it came to covid and the lockdowns.

I don't see Texas on the list. Abbot does nothing. I wanted somebody else. Nobody ran against him but even worse nutcases.

Great point #7. President Trump's biggest and most glaring weakness was personnel choices and not firing those pond scum who were betraying him, incompetent, venal, traitorous, or communist. Bringing in Jared Kutchner and Ivanka was a huge mistake.

i think Trump was between a rock and a hard place with the Covid business. He was out of his areas of expertise and initially had no choice but to rely on the Deep State "experts". By the time he got wise withe the appointment of Scott Atlas it was too little, too late.
Yes, many of Trump's appointments turned out to be Deep State backstabbers, but that is the built-in hazard for any genuine "outsider" coming into office. The "outsider" is an appealing figure in theory, but I think we've learned the hard way that some government savvy is a valuable tool for a man who intends to govern from a conservative standpoint.

DeSantis is in way over his head. He's backed by the swamp and the Bushes. No one else gets away with this stuff, unfortunately. He has great ideas and I do like the guy, but it's too much too soon at this point.

And when would be the right time, # 11?
Why not judge the man by his actual performance in office? If you do you'll be convinced that Governor Ron is beholden to no murky special interests.

# 12 - He's obviously running for president. When I said it's too soon, I meant he won't win over Trump. Simple fact. To lose at this point would hurt him when he would be a shoe in after Trumps next term. But the fact is he is being supported by the Bushes and is in the money circle with the swamp.
