Former President Trump will ultimately end up back in the White House if he is indicted by Manhattan prosecutors, Elon Musk predicted. “If this happens, Trump will be re-elected in a landslide victory,” Musk said in a tweet. Musk’s tweet came as Trump declared on his own Truth Social platform that “ILLEGAL LEAKS” from Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office indicate he “WOULD BE ARRESTED TUESDAY.” The comment from the Twitter boss and world’s richest man came in response to a Fox News segment detailing how Trump could potentially be “cuffed” and “fingerprinted and processed” and “escorted into the courtroom.” Law enforcement and the Secret Service were discussing “logistics” and “security preparation”

Maybe. Or, it'll boil down to the suburban voter's toleration for political drama. Sometimes the surbaban solution for fixing a dripping faucet is to replace the entire faucet.

Don't know about "landslide" but it could well help him if the case is as idiotic and blatantly political as it seems. One caveat: If the Proud Boys show up and "protest" like they did on Jan. 6, then all bets are off.

There may not even be an election, putting Trump in jail is not the end game here, they are desperate to incite the Right to violence. If they get the Right to finally snap they win, they get to round up 1000's perhaps 10's of 1000's of dissidents, declare martial law, strip rights, confiscate guns, shut down social media sites, etc... it will likely game over form the constitutional republic.

An indictment by Manhattan prosecutors will shine an unbearably bright spotlight on the corrupt-o-crats, both elected and Deep State, who are SO fearful of Trump that they will resort to ANYTHING (like the Russia, Russia, Russia hoax) to stop Trump. "Landslide" is an UNDERSTATEMENT as the resultant Trump victory will be HISTORIC when the American people speak. THEN will come the punishment for this anti-Trump conspiracy. What is the penalty for Spying on a President?

Democrats and the media want violence even if they have to manufacture it. When this happens at a rally, sit down. Start showing these fascists what it means to peacefully protest. If they try to infiltrate any rally and start causing trouble, just sit down and leave them standing which would expose their sorry hides. We have to be smart. Show them for the violent plants they are. Sit down. They have no contingency for that. What do you do when people won’t take the bait and sit peacefully? You LOSE bigly!

I would not be so sure that armed resistance would not succeed. Police forces have been stripped down and demoralized all over the country. They can't even stop daylight street murders and carjackings. Our military consists of less than two hundred thousand troops and fewer than half of those are combat specialists. Joe's F-16s can't be used on the streets. OTOH there are millions of veterans and patriots out here who are mad as hell.

A coalition of midsize banks sent a letter to Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (the FDIC), the Comptroller of the Currency, and the Federal Reserve requesting that the FDIC insure all their deposits for the next two years, according to Bloomberg. The request comes amidst a banking crisis that started earlier this month with the collapse of Silicon Valley Bank (SVB) and then Signature Bank. The group wrote: “Doing so [insuring all deposits] will immediately halt the exodus of deposits from smaller banks, stabilize the banking sector and greatly reduce chances of more bank failures,”

Last week, we learned that the Manhattan district attorney’s office was preparing to indict former President Donald Trump as early as next week. On Saturday, Trump responded to those reports, saying his potential arrest would occur on Tuesday. He also called for protests over the blatant abuse of the justice system that has been targeting him for years. Then, on Sunday, the potential indictment and arrest was put on hold, reportedly over a new surprise witness, though it was unclear whom that witness would be… until now. Trump posted on Truth Social that “the most important witness” will testify before the grand jury on Monday. According to Trump, the surprise

But Trump has been holding a clear lead over the course of several consecutive polls now. At CNN this weekend, Harry Enten breaks down the two latest and comes up with a surprising (at least to me)

There’s been a lot of reaction about the possible indictment of President Donald Trump, although his spokesperson says there has not been any formal notification of an arrest, and Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg’s office hasn’t formally commented on the matter. George Washington law professor Jonathan Turley wrote about a lot of problems in the alleged impending case against President Donald Trump including potential statute of limitations questions depending upon what is charged, that the feds refused to pursue this charge and the Manhattan DA seems to be trying to “effectively prosecute a federal case long ago rejected by the Justice Department.” He also pointed out how there was no push

My mom used a pressure cooker that was the terror of the household. It bounced around all over the counter and, unless the heat was applied and the pressure released with incredible care, it was like having a bomb in the kitchen. When I look at what the Democrats are doing in America, I am reminded of that pressure cooker. Their latest scheme is to Trump’s arrest even as they announce that they are doubling down on persecuting the almost entirely peaceful J6 protesters who unwittingly trespassed in the Capitol. The first action builds pressure; the second denies Americans their constitutional safety valve. I fear that this cannot end well.

The contention is that Trump broke the law by ordering Michael Cohen to make the payment, which was ultimately classified as a legal expense. Yesterday Joe Biden made the mistake of listening to a question from a reporter at the White House, and briefly trying to answer. I understand that the reporter was from another country; I don’t suppose a liberal American “reporter” would be so bold as to question Slow Joe on the subject of his China connections: Two points to note. First, even in this very brief clip, Biden’s mental and physical incapacity are on display. He may only be 80 years old, but he is an old 80. Second, Biden answers “It’s not true.” But it is true. A single Chinese entity paid Biden’s family well over $1 million.
